Team Competition All riders competing must be current FULL members of BD or Dressage Ireland. Riders must be eligible to ride at the level which they intend to compete. Please refer to the British Dressage Members Handbook, Incorporating the 2015 Rules. Specifically Rule 131 Rosettes will be awarded to the top 10 teams, Prizes and Medals for the 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd teams and Sashes to the winning team. The Cool Technic Perpetual Trophy will also be awarded to the winning team. Individual Competition Fledgling Novice Pony/Junior/Young Rider Championships Elementary Pony/Junior/Young Rider Championships Medium Pony/Junior/Young Rider Championships FEI Championship The individual competition will be determined by the individuals results in the team classes and the FEI classes over the 2 day competition. Rosettes and Medals will be awarded for the 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd Individuals in each Championship. Sashes will be awarded to the winners. Number of Entries Each Region / Nation will be allocated 3 teams (12 riders). Regions may also select one individual rider at each of the FEI levels (pony, junior, young rider).
General Entry Information Entries must be submitted by the Regional Development Officer or BYRDS Representative from each region on the official entry form supplied. Substitutions may be made. Entry Fees: Warm up Tests (Classes 1,2,3 & 4a,b,c) 20 Team Tests per rider to include entry fee for BYRDS Home International (1 class each day at the level entered) 60 FEI Tests per rider to include entry fee for BYRDS Home International (1 class each day at the level entered) 70 All cheques made payable to REC Arenas. Timetable Tuesday 28 th July 2015 2pm: Arrival Time. Stables open. 2pm 5pm: Warm up arenas available for Schooling. 5pm: Chefs Meeting 6.30pm: Opening Ceremony followed by Hog Roast & Welcome Drink. Wednesday 29 th July 2015 Arena Walk Times TBC AM: Warm up Classes First round of competition times TBC 7pm: Evening Entertainment TBC Thursday 30 th July 2015 Arena Walk Times TBC Second round of competition 2pm: Aim for last horse 4.30pm: Prize Giving / Closing Ceremony 5.30pm: All riders to be left General Rules of the Show - All classes will be run under BD rules including the members code of conduct - Teams will be selected in accordance with the Regional Team Selection Policy. - Warm up tests do not count towards individual or team rankings. This is a friendly international and teams will, for the duration of the show (in line with their Governing body) be allowed to wear the appropriate pocket badge and numnah/saddle cloth badge.
Security In the interest of onsite security & health and safety, all riders, and their parents, partners and Chef D Equipes will be issued with a security wristband upon arrival which must be worn for the duration of the competition. Only people with security wristbands will be allowed on site. Lorry Park There is ample space for lorries & hook ups. Bridle numbers are to be worn at all times. During the competition access to riders not competing may be restricted. Chef D Equipes There will be a Chef D Equipe meeting on Tuesday evening at 5pm in the Conference Room behind the Café seating area.
Arena Walk Competitors may walk in competition arenas only at allocated times. While riding in the arena walk, suitable clothing, bridle numbers and hats to current BD regulations must be worn at all times. Horses are only permitted to walk around the exterior of the arenas. Entertainment There will be a Hog Roast on the Tuesday evening along with a welcome drink which will be available at 5 per head. This is payable in advance and must be booked at the same time as the entry form is submitted. Following on from the Hog Roast there will be entertainment. The REC Arenas Café will be open for the duration of the competition for dinners, snacks, drinks, and evening meals. Opening Ceremony Riders are expected to wear team clothing, light coloured trousers and suitable footwear. No jeans, shorts, trainers or flip-flops! Prize Giving Prize giving will take place approximately 1 hour after the last test has finished on Thursday. All competitors must be in full riding attire and the presentation will be dismounted. Safe Guarding There will be a Safe Guarding and Child Protection officer for the duration of the competition.
First Aid / Vet / Farrier Onsite first aid will be available for the duration of the competition. Contact details will be posted at the Secretary s office. Please ensure you have completed a formal Photograph consent form and given this to your RDO or BYRDS Representative. Toilet Facilities There is 24 hour access to toilet facilities.
