Participants : Open only to member countries of the Fencing Confederation of Asia and the Oceania Fencing Confederation. Each participant must hold a valid passport of the country he/she is representing to be allowed to represent that country. Each country can enter four (4) competitors to each individual event and one (1) team of three (3) competitors and one (1) substitute in each team event. 5. Entry : Entry fee of US$40 for individual event and US$100 for team event must be paid on arrival. Please fill-in the entry form and submit to e-mail: balifencing@gmail.com Latest entry submission: Form1: Preliminary Entry (by event and number) : July 31, 2012. Form2: Final Entry (by event and name) : August 31, 2012. Form3: Final Entry (by event and name) : August 31, 2012. Form4: Accommodation and Transportation : August 31, 2012. Form5: Buffet Lunch : August 31, 2012. 6. Accreditation : Officials and athletes should provide a passport-sized photo for making ID cards and send to e-mail: balifencing@gmail.com before August 31, 2012. The format file name of the photo: <country>_<official/athlete>_<name>. For example: INA_Athlete_Muhammad_Zulfikar.jpg or CHN_Offical_Ing_ Zang.gif 7. Competition Method : The fencing competition shall be conducted in accordance with the current Statutes and Rules of the FIE. In case of disagreement in the interpretation of the Rules, the latest English version shall prevail. The Directoire Technique shall deal with any unforeseen incidents not covered by the Rules. 8. Equipments :
All equipments to be used must comply with FIE standards. All equipments must be submitted for weapon testing and marked by the Organizer before they may be used in the competition. 9. Competition Management : Referee : FlE-licensed referees will be designated by the FCA. Referees must present themselves during the Referees meeting on September 30, 2012. Referees must be properly attired in jacket/blazer and long pants. Directoire Technique (DT) : The DT shall be responsible for the technical organization of the competition. The DT shall comprise of One (1) from the Host Country, the chief DT designated by the FCA. Protests : Appeals against decisions of a referee should be made immediately by the competitor so their team captain to the referee, before any decision is made regarding a subsequent hit. If the referee should maintain his decision, the complaint shall be brought to the attention of the DT. 10. Prizes : Individual events: one (1) gold, one (1) silver, and two (2) bronze medals to the top four (4) fencers and diplomas to the top eight (8) fencers. Team events: four (4) gold medals for the champion team, four (4) silver medals for the second placed team, and two (2) sets of four (4) bronze medals for the two losing teams in the semi-finals, and diplomas to the members of the top eight teams. 4) Accommodation: New accommodation selection (A), (A1) and (D1) (A) Goodway Hotel US$ 45 net/person/night (A1) Goodway Hotel Buffet dinner US$ 60 net/person/night

Notes: Check-in time is 1400 hours on the day of arrival, check-out time is 1200 hours on the day of departure. Most of the rooms here in Nusa Dua Bali are double room (one double-bed). Twin rooms (two single-bed) are available at very limited supply. Transportation: Shuttle bus from airport to above mentioned hotel and from hotel to venue. 12. Food : The venue is in a suburban resort area where restaurants and places to eat are located far away. To facilitate the meal, a buffet lunch is available at a price of US$ 25 /person /lunch or a box-packed lunch at a price of US$ 12 /box. 13. Payment : All payments must be paid in cash by September 30, 2012 after the Team Managers Meeting. 14. Language : Official language is Indonesian and English. 15. General Information : (a) Currency : Indonesia unit of currency is the Rupiah (IDR). Foreign currency can be exchanged freely at banks, hotels, the airport and most big shopping malls. Current exchange rate is approximately 9.000 IDR for US$1. Major credit cards are widely accepted in most places. (b) Entry Formalization : All passengers entering Indonesia must possess valid passports. Participants are recommended to check with local Indonesia Embassies for visa applications before traveling. In order to obtain a visa, participants are requested to send copy of their passports by E-Mail to: balifencing@gmail.com not later than Friday, August 31, 2012. The organizing committee will take care of the necessary formalities. (c) Weather & Dress : Indonesia has a warm and humid climate throughout the year with a daily average temperature range of 26 C to 32 C. Light clothing made from natural fabrics like cotton is best for everyday wear. (d) Water & Electricity : Tap water should be boiled before drinking. Bottled mineral water is available at any convenience stores or supermarkets. Electricity supply is AC 220-240V/50Hz, European standard CEE-7/7 plug type or compatible. (e) Smoking : Smoking in all air-con)ditioned public places (including education institutions) is against the law. Smoking is also prohibited in all covered areas, including shopping centers, restaurants, cafes and bars (some are allowed to set up special smoking rooms). Smoking is also banned in outdoor eateries, coffee shops, canteens and cafes (some areas are set aside for smoking). (f) Please bring your National Anthem in Compact Disc (CD) format
