11/6: JROTC is conducting their annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive, our goal is to buy 100 turkeys for Thanksgiving. Please donate whatever you can to help a family in need for this Thanksgiving Holiday. Remember that Thanksgiving is the Season for Giving! 11/7: SENIORS only! Also, thank you to all of the teachers who have used a parent volunteer thus far. 11/9: The media center will begin featuring a "Genre of the Month." The Genre of the Month for November and December is "Realistic Fiction." If you check out a realistic fiction book from the media center or online, and do a book review, you will be invited to participate in a celebration in December. See Mrs. Wright in the media center for details. Also, we would like to announce our Stand Man SAT word of the day. This is a game where you use clues to guess the SAT word of the day. This will help you strengthen your vocabulary and you will also win a "Get caught reading ticket" if you guess the word. Come to the media center to play before 1st block or during your lunch time. See Ms. Mims in the media center for details. 11/13: FBLA is hosting world Premature Day on Friday November 17 th. World Premature Day is the raise awareness of preterm birth and the concerns of preterm babies and their families worldwide. FBLA would like everyone to wear the color purple on this Friday. Teachers, if you could decorate your room or your door pertaining to World Premature Day.

November 30 th @ 4pm-6pm in the main gym. There will be a lay-up contest, dunk contest, 3 point shootout and free throw contest. The 2017 State Champs will showcase their rings.
