SPRING AND FALL PROGRAMS SE:Session CL:Class LE:Lesson HT:Hill Ticket L:Lunch R:Rentals P:Protective Padding Basic Bike Mechanic Course (15+ years) Learn how to fix your bike after a hard day of riding. This introduction to bike maintenance is for riders who are new to the sport, looking to get ready for the season, or just curious to learn more about their bike. A qualified mechanic will cover wheel truing, cable replacements, brakes (including hydraulic maintenance), bearing repacks, derailleur adjustments and many other industry secrets. Bring along your own mountain bike so you have something to practice on. With two days of instruction per week, this program offers an intense, detail oriented progression for kids serious about improving their freeriding skills. Other curriculum areas will include bike maintenance, a sponsorship clinic, introduction to trail building and representing yourself as a mountain bike athlete. Sat. 10 12 noon May 12 SE12 $279 HT$108 R$118 P$40 Tues. 6 8 p.m. Development Freeride CLUB (13 17 years) For the next level of freeriders and racers. This program provides a club environment for riders, and will include an off site trip to another bike park. Working with a coach twice a week for the entire bike season ensures the greatest development of these young athletes. Fees include entrance to the spring downhill race series on Wednesday evening, starting May 23. All costs associated with the off site trip are extra. An intermediate mountain biking level is required for this program. This weekly session is a chance to stay in shape, improve your riding skills, and most of all, have fun with other female riders. Participants must be able to ride a bike, but no trail experience is necessary. This camp will include biking as well as two afternoons of other activities. Bike maintenance and a cross country ride through the exclusive eastlands will also be offered in the curriculum. Our staff will take Hardcore Riders throughout the Park trail system focusing on introduction and development of various freeriding skills for drops, downhill riding and racing, single track trail riding, dirt jumping, stunt riding and bike maintenance. summer park activities LUGE RIDES (Ice House) Test your Olympic potential, and time yourself on the unique start facility in the Ice House, CODA s National Sliding Centre. The Ice House is the only fully enclosed, refrigerated building in the world, serving the three sliding sports of bobsleigh, luge and skeleton.
