Quiz Bowl (no animal required) 2. Animal Judging (no animal required) 3. Skill-a-thon (no animal required) 4. Animal Showing (requires either owning or leasing an animal) STEM Science 4-H National Youth Science Day The challenge this year drew youth from an afterschool program and from our local 4-H clubs to participate in designing and building their own low-cost wearable health monitor following the engineering design process. What great results we had from our budding engineers and fashion designers. The Baltimore County 4-H Office is interested in developing teams for Quiz Bowl and Skill-a-thon. Baltimore County 4-H Fair Working Together to Raise Funds for 4-H and More One aspect of 4-H Fair is that for it to happen, it takes many hands. This year was no exception. In addition to the usual fundraisers that so many volunteers support. Baltimore County 4-H offered a unique one. We raised over $2,500 with the shave and hair cut off Mr. Dwayne Murphy, 4-H educator and an incredible team player. Liberty 4-H Club brought in the most money and won the prize of shaving Mr. Dwayne s beard with the goat shears. Page 7
