Corrosive to skin. Inhalation of corrosive fumes/gases may cause coughing, choking, headache, dizziness, and weakness for several hours. Pulmonary edema may occur with tightness in the chest, shortness of breath, bluish skin, decreased blood pressure, and increased heart rate. Harmful if swallowed. Repeated or prolonged exposure may cause blackening and hyperkeratosis of the skin, bronchitis and pharyngitis, erosion of exposed front teeth, and chronic inflammation of the nose, throat and bronchial tubes. Chronic exposures at levels up to 200 ppm have produced palperbral edema, hypertrophy of lympth nodes and conjunctival hyperemia. If breathing difficulty or discomfort occurs and persists, obtain medical attention. Apply artificial respiration if victim is not breathing. Administer oxygen if breathing is difficult and you are trained. Seek immediate medical attention/advice. Quickly wipe material from the mouth and rinse mouth with water. Do NOT induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a physician or poison control center immediately. This product is expected to be corrosive and contact can cause severe irritation, burns and permanent damage to eyes and skin. Breathing this product may cause severe irritation to mucous membranes and lungs, causing coughing and shortness of breath. Higher exposures may cause pulmonary edema.
