WELCOME MESSAGE The Melton Soccer Club was established in Melton in 1968 with the first year of competition being in 1969. The Club underwent a name change and competed as Melton Phoenix FC for the first time in the 2011 season. Melton Phoenix Football Club is located at the rear of the MacPherson Park sporting complex, which is situated on Coburns Road, Melton. Season 2017 we had over 150 players, including senior men and women as well as junior boys and girls. We are playing in the Football Federation Victoria (FFV) competition and this year we will field girls and boys Junior Miniroos Football squads from Under 4s through to Under 11s inclusive, as well as Junior boys and girls teams from Under 12s to Under 18s. With the support of ongoing and new Club Sponsors and our dedicated volunteers, as well as an increased member base and a new, fresh and dedicated committee, 2018 is shaping up to be the best season yet at Melton Phoenix FC. Thankyou for choosing Melton Phoenix FC we look forward to getting to know you and your family as the season progresses and wish you all the best for a successful season. CLUB MISSION STATEMENT Melton Phoenix FC aims to provide its members with the opportunity to participate in the sporting activity of soccer at all levels. It is committed to ensuring the growth of its junior programs at community level, and therefore ensuring the longevity of the Melton Phoenix FC. Melton Phoenix FC provides a warm and welcoming social environment to both it s members, their families and guests. 2018 will see a particular theme of family, ensuring there is inclusion for everyone. The Committee and members of the club are determined and professional in seeking that the Melton Phoenix FC has a long and sustainable future as well as providing on field success, not only in results but player improvement. MELTON PHOENIX FC CODES OF CONDUCT The codes of conduct below have been incorporated into FFV Rules of Competition and we strongly encourage you to read over these rules with your children to ensure they understand the clubs expectation from parents, spectators and players at Melton Phoenix FC. It is vital that everyone involved in sporting activities, whether they are athletes, coaches, parents, officials or supporters understand their responsibilities to ensure that all participants enjoy the sport. PLAYERS CODE OF BEHAVIOUR (a) (b) Play by the Rules and within the spirit of the game; Do not argue with the match official. If you disagree, have your captain or coach approach the match official during a break in play or after the match is concluded; (c) Control your temper. Verbal abuse of officials or other players, deliberately distracting or provoking another person is not acceptable or permitted in any sport (d) (e) (f) (g) (h) (i) (j) (k) Maintain your focus and work hard for yourself and your team; Be a good sport and be prepared to acknowledge good play whether it is from your team or the opposition; Treat all players as you would like to be treated. Do not interfere with, bully or take unfair advantage of another player; Cooperate with your coach, team mates and opponents. Without them, there would be no competition; Play for your own enjoyment, and not just to please parents and coaches; Remove all jewellery prior to training and match play, as it is a hazard to you and those around you; Do not accept or use any banned or unauthorised drug(s), including the consumption of alcohol at any time; Any fines incurred from the Football Federation of Victoria will be the responsibility of the individual player. Ensure any issues are raised through the correct channels; Smart Supporting not loud and intense but calm, relaxed and at all times positive; Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every young person regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion; (m) Do not smoke or consume alcohol outside on junior days (Technical Area or sideline). SPECTATORS CODE OF BEHAVIOUR (a) Applaud good play and performances from both teams, and be forward in congratulating all participants on their performance regardless of the final outcome; (b) Respect the match official s decisions on the day; (c) Condemn the use of violence in any form, be it by spectators, coaches, officials or players; (d) Show respect to for both teams when watching matches, because without them there would be no game; (e) Encourage players to follow rules and accept the decision of the match official; (f) Do not intimidate, harass or use foul language towards, players, match officials, Club Officials or spectators. CLUB RULES All players, parents and spectators must abide by the codes of Behaviour as stated above No Football/Soccer boots to be worn in the rooms No Kicking of balls on the concrete area in front of the clubrooms or within the club rooms. All equipment borrowed to be returned to where it was taken from. Alcohol only permitted inside red area (please refer to poster located near the bar) A PARENT OR GUARDIAN MUST REMAIN AT TRAINING AND MATCHES AT ALL TIMES.

GRIEVANCE PROCESS GRIEVANCE OFFICER: MICHELLE WILLIAMSON (Phone: 0406 420 890) If you have a grievance with the Club or one if its members/officials, please follow the steps below to resolve it: STEP 1 If your concern is regarding an on field issue please speak to your coach or team manager in a calm and respectful manner regarding your concern. Parents may do this on their child s behalf. If this does not resolve your concern, refer to Step 2. However if the concern/issue is not of an on field nature go directly to Step 2. STEP 2 On Tuesdays and Thursdays between approximately 6.30pm and 7.30pm Michelle Williamson, the Clubs appointed Grievance Officer, will be available by appointment to listen to your concerns and try to resolve it immediately on your behalf. At this time she will also take notes and if the concern is not able to be resolved, Michelle will ask you to complete a grievance form and proceed to Step 3. STEP 3 Michelle will approach or contact the Committee on your behalf and raise your issue and have it dealt with at an official level. You may be contacted by a member of the committee to clarify any unclear areas or be asked to attend a meeting to discuss the issue. STEP 4 The committee will investigate the issue/concern and after making a decision either Michelle or another member of the committee will contact you with a decision. THE COMMITTEES DECISION IS FINAL AND NO FURTHER ACTION WILL TAKE PLACE ON THE ISSUE AFTER A DECISION HAS BEEN REACHED.

CLUB PHOTOGRAPHY Non-Consent Form I, (name of parent or guardian) do not consent to Melton Phoenix FC taking photographs of my child (name of child/children), which may be used in the creation and production of promotional material for display within the club, on the club s website or in any other promotional way that the club deems appropriate. All copyright of any photographs and their reproduction in any form belongs to and is owned by the club and the photographer, and no member will be entitled to any proceeds and / or profits arising from the sale of the photographs and any reproductions in any form.
