SYSTEM INTRODUCTION: The PCT LSF range of lifting pins used for the transportation, lifting and mounting of concrete elements. This lifting system is the safest method to transport concrete elements through the air. The LSF system exists of three main products. That is a LSF anchor which is poured in the concrete together with a rubber recess former to form a void for the lifting clutch used to safely lift the system. Each load group has a range of anchor lengths to allow for different installation situations. Lifting Stud Foot Anchors efficiently transmit the applied load to the concrete through the conical foot of the anchor. This foot induces a shear cone in the concrete that resists pullout. The three main factors that affect pullout capacity are : - The embedment depth of the anchor. The compressive strength (f c) of the concrete at time of lift. The proximity of the anchor to free edges or other anchors. The Standard Length Foot Anchors in each load group have been designed to provide the full S.W.L. of the clutch under most conditions: Foot anchors should not be used where concrete strength is <10N/ Edge distances less than 3 x anchor length can reduce pullout load. Anchor spacing less than 6 x anchor length can reduce pullout load. Standard Length Anchors should always be used unless otherwise specified. Where short foot anchors are used in thin sections the longest possible anchor should always be used. SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION: The PCT LSF range of anchors are clearly marked to ensure the user selects the correct part every time and that after casting it is possible to see the correct sized anchor has been used. The head of the anchor that remains visible after casting holds information such as The LOAD GROUP The Anchor Length The manufacturer The foot of the anchor contains a batch number that allows us to trace each batch of anchors form steel mill to customers factory. 2/5

STD LSF ANCHORS WITH REDUCED EDGE DISTANCES: Where the minimum edge distance or anchor spacing's are not able to be met then the SWL of the anchor will be reduced to maintain the safety factor of 3.
