* * * From Your 2 nd VP s, Dave and Lorraine Burson* * * Report for August 9, 2015 Friday, August 7 Texas Reelers Dog Days Of Summer Dog Days of Summer for sure! It was sweltering at the Richardson Sr. Center Friday evening. They had it cooled down but with all the fast, hot calling from Deborah Carroll Jones it warmed up fast. She called some cute dog songs, and changed some of the words to songs we know to reflect images of dogs in your mind as we were whirling and twirling. Jon Jones called one that had us all calling the dogs. During the break the president of the Texas Reelers honored Jack and Ann von der Heide for 25 years service of cueing for the club, Thank you to the 15 Swinging Stars that were in attendance Bursons, Esteps, Evantos, Hamms, Harrises, Sees, Smith/Hardin, and C Wolfe. Saturday, August 8 Dixie Chainers Regular Dance night Cool hall, cool caller, cool cuer and a hole bunch of cool dancers. This may have been their regular dance night, but it came off like a special dance. Thank you to P. Amy, Bursons, Duncans, Esteps, Evantos, Hamms, Jimisons, Kilejians, Perrotts, Sees, and C. Wolfe.
