In the many years of super yachting he has travelled extensively through the Eastern and Western Mediterranean, Caribbean, Bahamas, Central America, North Sea, Canada and the better-known areas of the USA. Graeme has been the Captain of AMPHITRITE (formerly VAJOLIROJA) since 2006. His early years were spent on the family farm, growing up amongst the rugged and secluded terrain of New Zealand's south island. With his knowledge and experience Graeme's goal is to provide a relaxing five star experience on board AMPHITRITE. Captain Alastair has been involved in the yachting industry for 15 years, working his way up from apprentice boat builder, delivery skipper, to captain on superyachts. He grew up in the coastal city of Durban, South Africa and found an early love of the ocean. He spent many weekends sailing, surfing, swimming, playing water polo, anything that involved water or the ocean. His father was a master mariner and that set Alastair to follow a similar path. His career has taken him to most parts of the world including South Africa, the eastern and western Mediterranean, Asia including China and Singapore, Central and South America, the east coast of the USA and the Caribbean and Bahamas. He has also traversed both the Suez and Panama canals. With Alastair s personality and experience he aims to provide a relaxing five star experience on board.
M/Y LORETTA ANNE (47m) M/Y ADORA (62m) Rock climbing, scuba diving, kite surfing, photography, fishing, skiing and all watersports Dayne grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. He found his passion for the water here making it into the 1st team surfing squad and swimming for his province. On leaving school Dayne studied photography then moved to London for two years to work in the corporate environment. Dayne first joined AMPHITRITE as a deckhand in 2007, he left after three years to become 2nd Officer of a 1000 ton vessel cruising the Mediterranean. He then joined LORETTA ANN as 1st Officer and made the long trip from New Zealand to the USA via the Pacific Ocean and the Panama Canal. He has completed all safety and training certificates. M/Y LOTUS (38m) M/Y BLUEBIRD (32.6m) M/Y GLORIA TERESA (41.7m) Running, biking and swimming French, Italian, Slovak and other Slavic languages Nicole is from Kitchener Ontario. She was raised in a very European household surrounded by a close family and amazing food. She attended University whilst always working in the food service industry. In 2009 Nicole moved to Paris to attend a Cordon Bleu Culinary School where she completed The Grande Diplome, superior levels in both pastry and cuisine. This led to two internships at three star Michelin restaurants and a continued level of education. Her love of travel led her to the yachting industry; she has been working on yachts now for nearly four years. Nicole has completed all safety and training certificates. M/Y LE GRAND BLUE (118m) M/Y SUSURRO (48m) M/Y TRUE BLUE (50m) M/Y THUNDER GULCH (50m) M/Y RAHAL (47m) M/Y UMBRA (60m) M/Y TELEOST (50m) M/Y LAZY Z (51m) Languages: Fluent Italian, Spanish and basic French Inger has over twenty years experience as a professional Chef, 19 of which have been in the yachting industry on both private and charter yachts ranging from 34m to 118m. She has lived in Italy, France and Spain which has given her the opportunity to master true Mediterranean cuisine and over the years has attended courses in specific areas of cooking such as; chocolate, dessert and pastry. Her excellent attention to detail and creativity has won her 1st place in two divisions at the 2005 Mega Class Division Antigua Charter Show and was placed winner 5 times of Concours du Chef. Inger is always looking to reach a higher level of gastronomy by giving her clients a culinary experience that will become a lasting memory. Her cuisine is simple, elegant and healthy, with a huge array of technical experience including Gluten Free, Molecular, Artisan bread making and liquid nitrogen!
M/Y HERMITAGE (68.1m) M/Y MAKARENA (29.5m) M/Y AQUALIBRIUM (40m) Horse riding, skiing, hiking, photography, being outdoors and exploring new places Sarah grew up in the South of England, living in the countryside and very much an outside life from early childhood. Her uncle has a sailing boat so family trips with him on the sea gave her a passion and love for all things nautical. She stayed on at school to complete her A levels and at the same time, had a part time job at a private golf club. This turned into a full time waitress/catering assistant position where she happily worked for over two years. A five month trip traveling led her to a new career in yachting. M/Y SERENDIPITY (40m) M/Y SERENGETTI (40m) Yoga, watersports, snorkelling, hiking, Qi Gong and travel Katie is from Boynton Beach, Florida. She is the youngest of five siblings with all three of her brothers working aboard sailboats. She attended the University of Central Florida attaining a Bachelor of Arts-History. In 2012 Katie moved to St John, USVI to work at an Environmental Resource Station for the summer season as a recreational guide, assistant chef and housekeeper. Towards the end of that year she returned to Florida working at The Breakers Luxury Hotel, Palm Beach as a Guest Services Co-ordinator. She is a certified Yoga teacher trained in Ashtanga inspired Vinyasa. Katie has completed all safety and training certificates. M/Y MILAGROS (24m) Paddle boarding, running, yoga, camping, taking the dog for a walk, trying new food Chelsea grew up with her parents and older brother in Sherwood Park, a suburb east of Edmonton, Alberta. Much of her time was spent at a relative s farm out in the country. With lakes nearby the summer meant being on and in the water with boats and water toys. On leaving school, Chelsea worked part time in a sports pub for five years, then at a dental practice obtaining her Dental Assisting Certificate. Later she backpacked around South East Asia and Costa Rica. Whilst in Bali Chelsea completed a teacher-training course in Yoga and is now a Yoga Instructor.
M/Y REVERIE (70m) M/Y SENSES (59m) M/Y ALSHOUA (56m) M/Y ELANDESS (41m) S/Y MONTIGNE (57m) Diving, snowboarding, rugby, swimming and travelling Sol (Matthew) is from the Hunter Valley in Australia, a small town called Singleton just two hours north of Sydney. Before joining the yachting industry he worked as an electrical fitter and mechanic in the coal mines of Australia. Sol has been working on yachts now for over six years. Living near the coast he has spent a lot of time in the ocean from a young age surfing, wakeboarding and skiing and is now a PADI Open Water Diver. Sol brings a great deal of experience and knowledge to ensure the smooth operation of the yacht and has completed his Y3 Chief Engineering license. He also holds his Power Boat Level certificate and all safety and training certificates. S/Y SYLVIA (44m) S/Y MIRABELLA III (41.4m) S/Y PERSEUS (60m) S/Y GENEVIEVE (36.9m) M/Y MY IRIS (45.7m) Mountain biking, trail running and swimming James has always been around water, growing up near a large fresh water lake in Cape Town. He has always had a keen interest in sailing and watersports, actively competing in regattas around South Africa as well as offshore racing. From a young age James had the good fortune of being exposed to a practical and hands on upbringing building aeroplanes at home. It remains one of his passions. Other hobbies include mountain biking, trail running and swimming. He is also a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver. James joined the yachting industry in 2002 working on both sailing yachts and motor yachts. He has completed his Y3 Chief Engineering license and all safety and training certificates. M/Y FATHOM (45m) M/Y VELOCE (30m) Swimming, basketball, volleyball, travelling, experiencing cultures, meeting new people Fluent Turkish and English Stacey has been working in the yachting industry for seven years and joins AMPHITRITE with a rich maritime history. Until the age of 10 she lived with her parents on a boat in Turkey and spent more time in the water doing watersports than on land. She has studied Product Design Technology and enjoys being creative drawing, art and especially photography. Stacey spends her free time shooting pictures and videos and editing them. From diving to paddle boarding, Stacey is a watersports fanatic and welcomes the opportunity to show guests a fantastic time on the water.
M/Y CACIQUE (46m) M/Y ANDIAMO (42.6m) M/Y PRIVATE LIVES (36.7m) Sports; gold, tennis, rugby, wakeboarding and snowboarding Basic Zulu and Afrikans Jason comes from a well-travelled family with a passion for the outdoor life style. His mother, father and two other brothers spent much of their free time on the beaches and in the water of South Africa s East Coast. From a young age, Jason was always around boats enjoying fishing and watersports. He enjoyed his High School years at boarding school and on leaving, moved to the Sharks Rugby Academy in lieu of playing for the Provincial rugby squad. However, the role of his childhood life style, his love of the ocean, travelling and boats changed his career choice to that of yachting. He has completed all safety and training modules. 11/15
