Athletes in U16, U18, U21 and Masters who wish to fight in another division Sunday (in the same weight category) will NOT have to make weight again. Registration Fees Pre-registration is MANDATORY for the Quebec Open U21, Senior, Masters and Open: 70 $ CAN (70 $ US) U16, Ne-Waza: 50 $ CAN (50 $ US) U18: 60 $ CAN (60 $ US) U14: 40 $ CAN (40 $ US) Obtain 50% discount when registering an athlete for a 2 nd division. Open category excluded. 10$ administration fees will be held for all cancellations between October 31 and November 2, 2016. There will be No refunds following a cancellation as of Thursday November 3, 2016. No matter the circumstances. (training + ethics online) 3- Online registration is MANDATORY for ALL coaches. Please Note 1. A MAXIMUM OF 850 COMPETITORS WILL BE ALLOWED. 2. ONCE THE NUMBER OF 850 PARTICIPANTS IS REACHED, REGISTRATION WILL BE CLOSED AND THEREFORE IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO REGISTER ANYMORE. 3. ATHLETES WHO ARE COMPETING IN TWO AGE DIVISIONS HAVE TO REGISTER ONLINE IN BOTH AGE DIVISIONS. NO REGISTRATION WILL BE ALLOWED ON SITE.
Modified double elimination system for all age division (U14, U16, U18, U21, seniors and masters). Tournament s software will be used to make the draw prior to the competition. Golden score will apply in all division. White and blue judogis are mandatory (or white-blue reversible) The competition will take place on 6 different 8mx8m mat surfaces. IJF and/or Judo Canada s tournaments rules will be applied. Top 4 athletes based on Judo Canada points system will be seeded for the draw in senior division Arm-locks are forbidden for U14 and U16 age division. (U16 athletes meeting early bloomer clause and entering an older age division will be subject to the older age groups regulations.) Athletes can only fight in one age division per day, except those fighting in the open category. Quebec Open is one of the provincial qualifiers for the National Championship for Judo Quebec members in divisions U16, U18, U21 and Senior. It is also one of the identified tournaments that will determine U14 provincial rankings. Quebec Open tournament gives points for Judo Canada s point system.
Prize Money 350$ in prize money for both men and women Open category provided there are a minimum of 5 participants in their respective divisions. Quebec Open Medals Medals will be awarded to winners in U14, U16, U18, U21, Masters, Open and Ne-Waza divisions. Quebec Open Trophies For all first place winners of the Senior division. Medals will be awarded to 2 nd and 3 rd place winners for both men and women.
