introduction Before You Begin Congratulations on the purchase of your new BE Water Broom. Before you begin, read and understand all instructions in this manual and your pressure washer operation manual. This manual explains how to use your BE water broom, your pressure washer manual will outline how to use your other high pressure spray equipment. 3

saftey Safety Instructions This manual contains information that is important for you to know and understand. This information relates to protecting YOUR SAFETY and PREVENTING EQUIPMENT PROBLEMS. safety Safety Guides 6 HAZARD WHAT CAN HAPPEN HOW TO PREVENT IT WARNING RISK OF UNSAFE OPERATION WARNING RISK OF CHEMICAL BURN Unsafe operation of your pressure washer could lead to serious injury or death to you or others. The spray gun/wand is a powerful cleaning tool that could look like a toy to a child. Reactive force of spray will cause gun/wand to move, and could cause operator to slip or fall, or misdirect the spray. Improper control of gun/wand can result in injuries to self or others. Use of acids, toxic or corrosive chemicals, poisons, insecticides, or any kind of flammable solvent with this product could result in serious injury or death. Become familiar with the operation and controls of the pressure washer. Keep operating areas clear of all persons, pets and obstacles. Do not operate the product when fatigued or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Stay alert at all times. Never defeat the safety features of this product. Do not operate machine with missing, broken, or unauthorized parts. Never leave wand unattended while unit is running. Keep children away from pressure washer at all times. Do not overreach or stand on an unstable support. Grip gun/wand firmly with both hands. Expect the gun to kick when triggered. Do not use acids, gasoline, kerosene, or any other flammable materials in this product. Use only household detergents, cleaners, and degreasers recommended for use in pressure washers. Wear protective cleothing to protect eyes and skin from contact with sprayed materials. Do no use chlorine bleach or any other corrosive compound.

saftey HAZARD WHAT CAN HAPPEN HOW TO PREVENT IT WARNING RISK TO BREATHING WARNING RISK OF FLUID INJECTION Some cleaning fluids contain substances which could cause injury to skin, eyes, or lungs. Your washer operates at fluid pressures and velocities high enough to penetrate human and animal flesh, which could result in amputation or other serious injury. Leaks cuased by loose fittings or worn or damaged hoses can result in injection injuries. DO NOT TREAT A FUILD INJECTION AS A SIMPLE CUT! See a physician immediately. Relieve system pressure before attempting manintenance or disassembly of equipment. Use only cleaning fluids specifically recommended for high pressure washers. Follow manufacturer s recommendations. Do not use chlorine cleach or any other corrosive compound. Never place hands infront of nozzle. Direct spray away from self and others. Make sure hose and fittings are tightened and in condition. Never hold onto th hose or fittings during operation. Do not allow hose to contract muffler. Never attach or remove wand or hose fittings while system is pressurized. Use only hose and high pressure accessories rated for pressure higher than your pressure washer s PSI. To Relieve system pressure, shut off engine, turn off water supply, and pull gun trigger until water stops flowing. 7

operation Assembly 1 - Quick Connect Spray Wand 1 Connect water broom (a) to quick connect spray wand (b). Operation warning Read Operators Manual supplied with your pressure washer before operating this accessory. Do not operate equipment until you have read the Operators Manual supplied with pressure washer for Safety, Assembly, Operation, and Maintenance Instructions. 1. Start the pressure as outlined in the Owner s manual supplied with the unit. warning Stand on a stable surface and grip gun/wand firmly with both hands. Expect the gun to kick when triggered. 2 Depress the trigger 3 on the gun to begin spraying. Release trigger to stop sprayng. Guide water broom over surface to be cleaned. NOTE: It may be necessary to preheat area to be cleaned with chemical/soap. 8

maintenance Maintenance Nozzle orifices are extremely small and may become clogged with foreign material, such as dirt. If the nozzle becomes partially clogged or restricted, spray the pattern may become distorted. Clean the nozzle immeditately using the nozzle kit supplied and the following instructions: 1 Shut off pressure 2 washer and turn off the water supply. Pull trigger on gun handle to relieve any water pressure. 3 Disconnect the wand from the 4 broom. Using a 9/16 wrench, remove the mozzles (c) from the water broom. 5 Direct water supply 6 into quick connect (a) on broom for 30 seconds to flush out loosened particles. Remove any obstructions with the nozzle cleaning tool provided. 7 Reassemble the 8 nozzles to the water broom using Teflon tape to prevent leaks. Reconnect wand to broom and turn on water supply. 9 Start pressure washer and test. 9
