1.PROGRAM The FEI European Championships Aachen 2015 will take place from Tuesday, 11 th August until Sunday, 23 rd August. In addition to the Championship competitions in Jumping, Dressage, Driving, Reining and Vaulting, additional jumping competitions and a CICO*** Eventing competition will be held within these 13 days. The disciplines will take place as follows: Week I Dressage Week II Jumping Reining Eventing (non EU-CH) add. jumping competitions Driving Vaulting The Dressage and Jumping disciplines including all additional jumping competitions will be held in the Main Stadium. Reining and Vaulting will take place in the Deutsche Bank Stadium (the dressage stadium of the CHIO), which will be temporarily roofed. The Driving dressage and obstacle test will be held in Stadium 2, the Marathon test will take place on the adjacent Aachener Soers course. The dressage and jumping test of the additional Eventing competition (non EU-CH) will both take place in Stadium 2. The cross-country test will take place in the Aachener Soers. 2.VENUES All five disciplines will be held in three stadiums within a radius of less than 500 meters. The Soers course, where the marathon and eventing cross country test will take place, is adjacent to the main site. ACCOMMODATION The allocation of accommodation will be made per discipline. Disciplines that will be offered accommodation at the cost of the OC will have to make their reservations via the athletes NF when processing the entries using the entry system Hippobase. The OC will provide accommodation as follows: 4.2 Jumping All Championship athletes, Chef d Equipe and Team Veterinarians will be offered single room accommodation at the expense of the OC. The allocated hotels are planned to be the Novotel Aachen (Peterstraße 66, 52062 Aachen) and the Mercure Europaplatz (Joseph-von-Görres-Straße 21, 52068 Aachen). 4.3 Dressage Championship athletes, Chef d Equipe and Team Veterinarians, will be offered single room accommodation at the expense of the OC. It is foreseen, that all Championship athletes not reaching the final of the Grand Prix Special or Grand Prix Freestyle will be offered accommodation at the expenses of the OC until the day after their last active participation. The allocated hotels are planned to be the Novotel Aachen (Peterstraße 66, 52062 Aachen) and the Mercure Europaplatz (Joseph-von-Görres- Straße 21, 52068 Aachen). 4.4 Driving Chef d Equipe will be offered single room accommodation at the expense of the OC. The allocated hotels are planned to be the Ibis Hotel Main Station (Zollernstraße 2, 52070 Aachen) and the Ibis Hotel Marschiertor (Friedlandstraße 6, 52064 Aachen). Accommodation expenses for athletes will not be covered by the OC, instead no entry fee will be charged. The lorry park will be open for athletes from Sunday, 16 th August. 4.5 Vaulting All Championships athletes, longeurs, team attendants and trainers will be offered 2-, 4- or 6-bedroom accommodation in Army Bases at the cost of the OC. The OC kindly asks all NFs to inform us about the estimated number of Army Base beds required as early as possible. Athletes not wishing to stay at the Army Base will be responsible for their own accommodation at their own costs. Please contact the Aachen Tourist Service for booking assistance at your earliest convenience. 4.6 Reining All Championship athletes, Chef d Equipe and Team Veterinarians will be offered single room accommodation at the expense of the OC. It is foreseen, that all Championship athletes not reaching the second individual qualifier or the individual final will be offered accommodation at the expenses of the OC until the day after their last active participation. The allocated hotels are planned to be the Ibis Hotel Main Station (Zollernstraße 2, 52070 Aachen) and the Ibis Hotel Marschiertor (Friedlandstraße 6, 52064 Aachen). 4.7 Eventing (non EU-CH) Chefs d Equipe will be offered single room accommodation at the expense of the OC. The allocated hotel is planned to be the B&B Hotel Aachen-Wurselen (Adenauerstraße 27, 52146 Wurselen). Accommodation for athletes, grooms, team veterinarians and further team members will be at own expenses. 4.8 Grooms Grooms will be expected to use their own lorry as accommodation wherever possible. The lorry park will be located on the show grounds and an adequate number of electricity hookups and sanitary facilities will be provided. 4.9 Additional Delegation Members & Owners The Aachen Tourist Service has reserved a limited number of additional accommodations that can be booked at NF or individual s expenses for people other than those belonging to the official team (i.e. doctors, physiotherapists, farriers, psychologists, owners). Fulfillment of such requests will depend on the availability of accommodation. These requests must be made directly at the Aachen Tourist Service as early as possible but by 31 st January 2015 at the latest. 5. MEALS Meals for all athletes (including Eventing), grooms, Chef d Equipe and team veterinarians will be offered at the expenses of the OC from one evening prior to the first competition until the morning after the last day of competition of each discipline. 6. CHEFS DE MISSION The OC will accept one Chef de Mission for every Nation competing with teams in three or more disciplines. It is not planned to hold an official Chefs de Mission Meeting. However, individual side visits can be arranged with the OC by contacting the NF Liaison Anke Esser. 7. TICKET & ACCOMMODATION OFFERS FOR NF FAMILY & FRIENDS Although season tickets have already been sold out in the regular presale, a limited number including a special discount has been reserved especially for Family & Friends of the National Federations. In addition, the Aachen Tourist Service has reserved a number of suitable hotel options for those people accompanying the official teams and athletes. More detailed information about the NF Family & Friends offers as well as booking forms are attached to this document (Appendix 2 & Appendix 3). 8.
