Določanje ladjskih hidrostatičnih parametrov: Uporaba numerične integracije (Simpsonova pravila) za izračun hidrostatičnih parametrov ladje:, površin vodne linije, težišča vodne linije, volumna potopljenega dela ladje, oprijamlišča sile vzgona, enotinih parametrov za spremembo ugreza in pretege, sprememba ugreza zaradi spremembe slanosti, določitev površinskih in volumenskih koeficientov polnosti ladje ter izračum položaja metacentra. Konstrukcija diagrama hidrostatičnih krivulj. Začetna stabilnost ter stabilnost naplavljene in nasedle ladje: Kriteriji začetne stabilnosti. Pomen sistemskega težišča ladje in faktorji, ki vplivajo na položaj slednjega. Poizkus nagiba ladje. S krivulje. Stabilnost pri velikih kotih nagiba. Vpliv širine in nadvodja na povečanje stabilnosti ladje. Določanje dinamične stabilnosti iz krivulje GZ. Uporaba tablic in krivulj. Vpliv prostih površin ter navidezno znižanje GM. Nagib indiferentno stabilne ladje. Atwoodova enačba ter princip računanja ladij z paralelnim trupom. Teorija zibanja ladje. Permabilnost in naplavljivost oddelkov. Stabilnost ob naplavljanju ladje. Privez in odvez. Uporaba pogona in sistema za manevriranje. Sidranje in upravljanje z ladjo v slabemu vremenu. Manevrske in pogonske karakteristike. Poškodbe, ki nastanejo z ladijskimi valovi. Knowledge of the effect on trim and stability of a ship in the event of damage to and consequent flooding of a compartment and counter measures to be taken. Precautions when beaching a ship. Action to be taken if grounding is imminent, and after grounding. Refloating a grounded ship with and without assistance. Action to be taken if collision is imminent and following a collision or impairment of the watertight integrity of the hull by any cause. Assessment of damage control. Emergency steering. Emergency towing arrangements and towing procedures. Knowledge of the effect on trim and stability of cargoes and cargo operations. Use of stability and trim diagrams and stress calculating equipment, including automatic data based (ADB) equipment and knowledge of loading cargoes and ballasting in order to keep hull stress within acceptable limits. Actions to limit damage and salve the ship following a fire,

Predvideni študijski rezultati: Znanje in razumevanje: Poznavanje različnih tipov ladij, trdnosti ladje ter pogojev plovnosti in kriterijev stabilnosti ladje v izrednih situacijah. Poznavanje principov upravljanja z ladjo v težhih vremenshih razmerah ter varovanje morskega okolja. Intended learning outcomes: Knowledge and understanding: Metode poučevanja in učenja: Learning and teaching methods: Obsežnejši del učnega načrta se izvaja v obliki predavanj. Študentje na vajah opravijo izračune o stabilnosti in trdnosti ladje, ki se preverijo še z vajami v simulatorskem laboratoriju. S pomočjo laboratorija so študentje dolžni pripravit projektno nalogo. Študenti morajo izdelati tudi seminarsko nalogo iz področja ladijskih konstrukcij. Razpoložljivo gradivo objavljajo klasifikacijske ustanove.
