ABOUT SUDBURY FOR WOUNDED WARRIORS Sudbury for Wounded Warriors (SWW) was founded to provide a vehicle for raising both awareness and funds for veteran s based charities like the Home Base Program, Homes for Our Troops and others that honor and empower wounded warriors. Funds raised by SWW are used exclusively to generate awareness and enlist the public s aid for the needs of service men and women severely injured during the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other locations around the world; help severely injured service members aid and assist each other; and provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs. Each player will be provided a boxed lunch, greens fee, golf cart, and admittance into the post tournament dinner and awards ceremony. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., Charter Oaks is a classic course reminiscent of the great New England courses. The rugged, extremely picturesque site is complete with dramatic elevation changes and large rock outcroppings. The course was crafted from a dense hardwood forest and the tree-lined nature of the course places a premium on accuracy. It is laid out to flow naturally with the terrain and has a classic design, which makes it as simple as possible in terms of the golf strategy. The course is well bunkered, yet there is room for players to make decisions and adjust their game. The name of the game at Charter Oak is to keep it between the trees. We welcome you to arrive early and warm up before the tournament begins.
