NON-SMOKING Environment. The competition course has not been certified accordance with 104.2.2C (4). The water depth at the start end is 5 feet and the water depth at the turn end is 3 feet 7 inches. Colorado Timing Systems, including a completely automatic timer with touch pads and two back-up timers per lane. Start system with horn and strobe light start. ELIGIBILITY: Open to all swimmers holding a 2013 and 2014 USA Swimming membership card. Any swimmer that appears on the CSI exception report without registration must come to the meet prepared to show their card. The swimmers age as of October 26, 2013 will determine their age group. NO deck registrations will be accepted. ENTRY FEE: The entry fee is $4.50 per event (with.75 going to CSI, Inc.) plus a $7.00 pool surcharge. There are no relay events. ENTRY LIMIT: Swimmers may compete in five (5) individual events on Saturday and four (4) on Sunday. Meet will be limited to either 175 total swimmers or however many entries fill the four hour time line. This entry limit includes swimmers of the
Longmont Swim Club. Teams will be registered on a first come first served basis. ENTRIES: DEADLINE: The meet will be pre-seeded as a Timed Final meet based on entries submitted in yard. When a No Time entry is submitted the swimmer will be randomly seeded in the slowest heats. The preferred entry method is by e-mail via Hytek to entry Chairperson Monica Svendsen longmontredtailmeetentries@gmail.com. A 3.5 diskette required only if entries are not submitted by email. All teams must send a Colorado Swimming meet verification form with an original signature and a check for the entry fees for the team including hardcopy or the entries. Entries will be accepted in the order they are received. The postmark on entry packet or time stamp on the e-mail will determine order they are received. One check per team, payable to Longmont Swim club, please includes the Hy-Tek Fees Report. Entries must be postmarked, or received via E-mail (Hy-Tek) by Monday, October 14 th, 2013. Late entries will be accepted based on availability and can be assessed a late fee of $10 per event plus pool surcharge. All changes, concerns and time updates need to be submitted prior to Monday, October 21. Your team entry chair must sign and return the USA Swimming "compliance" form, or your team entries will not be accepted. Fee payment should be mailed with the entry hardcopies. All swimmers will be eligible for Trophies and Ribbons. All 6 & Under swimmers will swim in the 8 & Under events, but will be scored separately for ribbons and trophies. Session 3: If the number of entries for events 51-76 exceeds the 4 hour time line. Events 77-80 the 200 IM and 400 IM may be split into a separate short session. NO DECK ENTRIES!!!! Please make sure you have all your entries in by the DEADLINE! RESULTS: SCORING: As soon as the meet is finalized the results will be e-mailed to participating teams. Pentathlon 6&U swimmers will swim the 8&U events, but will be scored separately for trophies and ribbons. High Point Trophies will be earned by the lowest cumulative time for all five events entered.
AWARDS: RULES: High Point Pentathlon Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 male and female in the following age groups: 6&U, 7-8, 9-10,11-12,13-14, and 15&O at the end of each session. Ribbons will be awarded through 12 th place in each individual event. The meet will be scored to 12 places for the overall Team Trophy which will be awarded to the team with the highest cumulative points at the end of the meet. The 13&Over events will be scored as 13-14 and 15&Over for High Point Pentathlon Awards. Current 2013 USA Swimming rules will govern at the meet. The meet referee will have final authority on all the matters related to the meet. Coaches and parents will be responsible for the behavior and safety of their swimmer and their families. Teams will be held responsible for any damage to the pool. Positive sportsman-like conduct will be expected. The use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms. Except where venue facilitates require otherwise, changing into and out of swimsuits other than locker rooms or other designated areas not appropriate and prohibited. No on deck photography from behind the starting platforms. There will be NO SMOKING in the pool area. Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer's legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement SESSION 3: Distance awards will be ribbons 1 st though 12 th place for each individual. In the following age groups: 6&Under, 7-8, 9-10,11-12,13-14 and 15&Over. WARM -UPS Session 1 Warm-Up 7:00 AM MEET STARTS 8:15 AM Session 2 Warm-Up 12:15 PM MEET STARTS 1:30 PM Session 3 Warm-Up 7:00 AM MEET STARTS 8:15 AM WARM-UPS: The warm up schedule will be e-mailed to participating coaches prior to meet and posted at the pool. Warm-ups will be in accordance with U.S.A. Swimming, Inc. rules. No diving during general warm-up, three point entry only. Racing starts will be allowed only during the last 10 minutes of the warm-up period. Sprints will be one-way only. Swimmers without a coach will be assigned to a coach by the Referee. COACHES MEETING: A Coaches meeting will be held 15 minutes prior to start. All coaches and uniformed officials must display their USA/CSI cards when on deck. Current certification is mandatory. Coaches that are in non-compliance will not be allowed on deck. SCRATCHES: Coaches, please present your scratch list to the meet director. CONCESSIONS: There will be a wide variety of food, healthy snacks and drinks available.
