FUTSAL GEELONG 2016 (UPDATED MARCH 2016) TERMS & CONDITIONS INTRODUCTION The aim of Futsal Geelong is to provide players of all ages and abilities with an opportunity to participate in an enjoyable, inclusive, low cost indoor team sport at local community sports facilities. We are committed to delivering great experiences to customers in all Futsal Geelong programs and competitions. 1. PURPOSE 1.1. These Terms & Conditions (T&C) govern the management of Futsal Geelong competitions, and should be read and applied in conjunction with the 2016 Futsal Geelong Rules of Competition (2016 FGROC). 1.2. Teams (including all players, team managers and team spectators, parents) nominating and participating in a competition are deemed to agree to abide by the T&C as well as agreeing they have received, reviewed and agreed to all Futsal Geelong Rules of Competition (FGROC). 1.3. In the event of inconsistency between these T&C and the FGROC, the FGROC prevail. To receive or request a copy of all Futsal Geelong Information please email futsalgeelong@geelongcity.vic.gov.au 2. NOTICES 2.1. Futsal Geelong Competition Administrator, City of Greater Geelong (COGG), will issue notices by email & as deemed required may also include telephone. Email will be the primary methods of communication and team managers/captains are required to provide a valid email address that is regularly checked. 2.2. Team managers/captains are also required to provide a secondary contact for the team to ensure the team is advised of any changes relating to the team involved in the competition. Teams must also provide at least two telephone numbers. 2.3. Team managers/captains have full responsibility for promptly distributing notices or relevant information to teams. Notices issued by Futsal Geelong, the City of Greater Geelong or the FFV will be deemed to be received by team managers/captains and Futsal Geelong will not accept responsibility for teams not being advised of information in those notices.

3. 2016 FUTSAL GEELONG RULES OF COMPETITION 3.1. All Futsal Geelong fixtures will be played under the 2016 FGROC and the 2012 FIFA Futsal Laws of the Game. Team managers and players should read and understand these rules prior to playing in a Futsal Geelong match. 3.2. In the event of inconsistency between the FIFA Futsal Laws of the Game and the FGROC, the FGROC rules will prevail. 4. TEAM REGISTRATION 4.1. COGG, FG & FFV will accept registrations from teams only. Team registration is completed via the prescribed TryBooking online team registration form, completed and submitted prior to round One (1) and with the required online registration payments and completed team sheets returned. 4.2. Acceptance of a teams registration is at the discretion of COGG, FG & FFV, COGG, FG & FFV reserve the rights to refuse a team entry. Registration is conditional on applicants agreeing to the FGROC and to pay the prescribed fees. 4.3. Payment of the team registration fee indicates the team, players and supporters agree to adhere to the following; 4.3.1. Play by the rules in a spirit of fair play; 4.3.2. Not address an official (referee, team manager of centre management) in an insulting and/or offensive manner; 4.3.3. Not engage in violent acts, verbal abuse, offensive language or behaviour towards any official (as above) or spectator; 4.3.4. Comply with any reasonable direction given by an official or centre management in respects to behaviour in a match, keeping the court and foyer area clear and endeavouring to assist officials in maintaining control over team mates and spectators; 4.3.5. All managers and coaches are required to comply with the above and control behaviour of their teams supporters. 4.4. Teams will not be eligible to compete unless their team registration has been accepted and approved by COGG, FG, FFV and fees have been paid round One (1) of the season. 4.5. A team can have their team registration terminated and be ejected from a competition on disciplinary grounds or otherwise as determined by COGG, FG and/or FFV. 4.6. By registering and completing payment, the team manager/captain and players (including their parents where players are under 18 years) accept that planning, financial

and other commitments are made by FG in anticipation of the expected participation. Given this, refunds are not available in all circumstances. 5. TEAM NAMES 5.1. Proposed team names must be included on the team registration forms. Names deemed to be offensive or in poor taste will be rejected by FG. 5.2. If duplications or similarities occur priority will be given to the team which previously used that name. If this situation does not apply, priority will be given to the nomination received first. 6. PLAYER REGISTRATION 6.1. The team manager or captain must provide the required details for each nominated team member on the player registration form before playing in the competition. FFV will provide team managers/captains with a player registration form upon their team registration receipt. 6.2. Due to FFV s current insurance policy, nominated team members must be listed with all required details on the registration form. 6.3. If a team gets a new player, who is not a nominated team member and not registered in another Futsal Geelong affiliated team, this player will be allowed to play one match unregistered but must still provide true details on the team sheet. However, before that player may play another match he/she must register on the teams registration form and resubmit to the FFV noting the new individual. Please note that this player will not be covered by the FFV, COGG or FG Insurance until updated team registration forms are received and will be playing at their own risk and is the teams responsibility to inform fill in players of this. Players who are registered in a FG affiliated team may register for two teams provided they re in separate divisions (You cannot register for two teams in the same division) 6.4. A player can have their registration with Futsal Geelong terminated and be ejected from the competition on disciplinary grounds or otherwise as determined by FG and/or the FFV. Players / Persons who have been asked to leave the competition and/or venue and do not do so immediately will be treated a trespassers. 7. TEAM MANAGER/CAPTAINS 7.1. Teams must have a designated team manager and/or captain whose responsibilities include but not limited to: Ensuring team registration fees are paid prior to round one (1)

Ensure team game fees are collected and paid to venue reception prior to each scheduled FG match. Submitting the player registration form including all players and all correct details. Checking for and receiving notices and advising team members of relevant information in those notices. Representing players, supporters and officials in communications with COGG, FG and/or the FFV. Advising FG of any cancellations, forfeits etc, ensuring adequate notice in givenminimum 24 hours notice. Checking the draw on game day for changes via www.futsalgeelong.sportingpulse.net Ensuring all team members and spectators agree to and abide by the FGROC and T&C. Ensuring all team officials that have direct regular contact with a child (under 18 years) in connection with this team (such as a coach and possibly the team manager) obtain and maintain a satisfactory Working With Children Check. Further information can be obtained from the relevant website http://www.justice.vic.gov.au/workingwithchildren/ The conduct and behaviour of all team members and spectators during the course of the game. Give the identity of players and supporters when requested by the referee or FG official. 8. MATCH RECORDS 8.1. The team manager or captain will be required to check the Game Sheet prior to start of each match, and ensure all players for that day are listed on the document. Players must be listed on every game sheet that they play, FG takes no responsibility for correctly filling in game sheets. 8.2. The referee will enter any issues or incidents on the Match Record. 8.3. Where players eligibility for finals are concerned the game sheets will act as a players participation history, if a player is not listed on the game sheet they will not be credited with having played the game. 9. DRAW and CHANGES 9.1. FG may need to make changes to the draw and such notices will be sent to team managers in accordance with these terms and conditions. Team managers will be advised by email and if less than 24 hours then a telephone call or SMS may be sent to the team manager or captain. 9.2. Competition draws for each venue will be published online in full via www.futsalgeelong.sportingpulse.net

10. FORFEITS 10.1. If a team cannot take the field with the minimum required number of players (3) within five minutes of the game starting time that team will lose that game by forfeit. If neither team is eligible to commence the game the result will be entered as a 0 0 No Result. No points will be awarded to either team. 10.2. If a team notifies FG Competitions not less than 24 hours from the start of the scheduled game that it will forfeit that game, it will be debited 3 points for that game and charged a Forfeit Fee equivalent to one (1) match payment. 10.3. A team that advises FG management of a forfeit with more than 24 hours notice will not be charged a forfeit fee, but will sill be debited 3 points. 10.4. If a team forfeits 3 or more games in a competition it may be ejected/ removed from that competition by FG, and no refunds will be given. 11. DISCIPLINE 11.1. A player may be disciplined by a referee/official for an infringement or attempted infringement of the FGROC and FIFA Futsal Laws of the Game. A referee has control over players & team officials on or off the field during and after the course of a game in accordance with the FGROC and FIFA Futsal Laws of the Game. 11. 2. Any infringements of the FGROC or FIFA Futsal Laws of the Game, and/or any acts of misconduct will be addressed by FG and/or COGG. 11.3. A player sent from the field of play can take no further part in that game, another player from the offending team is not allowed to replace the sent off player for a 5 minute period, or if a goal is scored by the opposition team. The player red carded player can take no further part in the match and must leave the playing arena. Any further disciplinary action may be taken as FG as per the FG fixed penalty system or as FG sees fit including the removal of players from FG competitions. 11.4. The referee is to complete an incident/match report for any player sent from the field of play. 11.5. An incident/match report is to be completed by a referee, FG, COGG or FFV staff member for any breaches of discipline. 11.6. Serious breaches of discipline may be referred to the FFV Tribunal and Disciplinary Department for determination under the GDT and related policies and procedures. Otherwise FG reserve the right to remove offending teams from all FG competitions. 11.7. A player who has been sent off (red carded) on two or more occasions in FG competitions over a two (2) year period may be banned from all FG competitions. FG and/or

the FFV may eject a team from a competition for unacceptable breaches of discipline or misconduct. 11.8. FG has penalties in place for players and teams that accrue a number of yellow cards in a season. These penalties and suspensions are detailed in the FGROC 2016. 11.9. Swearing, Bad Language, Racist comments and Overt dissent from a referees decision are unacceptable in FG competitions and are treated as red card offences. A player using unacceptable language will not be warned, and will be shown a red card and asked to leave the field and will not be allowed back on the court for the remainder of the game. The referee will ask spectators or other team officials who use unacceptable language or abuse players or match officials to leave the premises. Failure to do so may result in the game being abandoned and the offending team deemed to have lost on forfeit. 11.10. Any suspension means a player/club Associate may also be suspended from all FFV activities for the duration of the suspension as outlined in the GDT. 11.11. FG will process complaints, give warnings and take action on any matter involving deemed unsportsman like behaviour or any matter that denigrates the reputation of the sport, competition or management. FG reserves the right to remove teams or players from competition and will communicate this with team managers / captains. 12. REFEREES 12.1. FG will appoint referees. Team managers or captains will have no input to the allocation of referees. 12.2. If a team manager wishes to provide feedback on a referee they may do so in writing to Futsal Geelong management via email futsalgeelong@geelongcity.vic.gov.au 12.3. Never argue with the referee or official. Remember the rule book states the referee is always right. If you disagree, have your captain, coach or team manager approach the competition or match official during the break or after the match in a friendly manner. 13. ABANDONED GAMES 13.1. After the start of play a game may be abandoned by FG, venue management or the referee. A decision to abandon a game will be made considering the safety of players and officials or serious misconduct on the part of teams or team officials. 13.2. Any game in which there is 2 red cards handed out by the referee to the same team the game will be abandoned. 13.3. A game abandoned at any stage may result in:

the match being declared a 0 0 No Result ; a match being forfeited and a 5 0 win in favour of the non offending team; the result at the time of abandonment allowed to stand FG shall determine the above based on the reason for abandonment. 14. APPLICATION OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS 14.1. These terms and conditions may be varied for any particular competition by FG or the FFV and such variations are to be advised to team managers via notice. 15. EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY 15.1. Except liability that cannot be excluded by law, COGG, FG and FFV excludes all liability in tort (including negligence), contract or statutory liability for acts or omissions of COGG, FG and FFV in relation to the Futsal Geelong competitions. I agree that personally and on behalf of my team shall indemnify and keep COGG, FG and FFV fully indemnified from and against all claims, causes of action, proceedings, demands, costs and expenses whatsoever, which may be taken or made by any person against COGG, FG and FFV, or incurred or become payable by COGG, FG and FFV, in connection with or arising out of a breach of these T&C. For the purpose of this indemnity, COGG, FG and FFV shall mean and include COGG, FG and FFV, its officers, agents, employees, contractors, volunteers and members. 16. PRIVACY STATEMENT 16.1. I acknowledge and agree I may be sent relevant up to date information and may be contacted by FG, COGG and FFV regarding future Futsal Geelong competitions and other football participation opportunities and related offers. I understand that my personal information will not be used or disclosed except in accordance with the provisions of FFV s Privacy Policy, as this may vary. By submitting the Team Registration form and paying the fees, I (and my team) agree with the Futsal Geelong Competition Terms and Conditions and Futsal Geelong Rules of Competition as outlined above.
