st by 2-Year-Olds, fillies, claiming price $40,000, Five and One-Half Furlongs Drayden Van Dyke Top Recent Equibase Speed Figure at this distance: We Will Rejoyce 1. We Will Re Joyce - First of 2 in the cast with a local victory, crushing maidens in her only outing over this course during the fall meet; has been trading decisions with today s foe Midnight Summer in the interim while making last two tries over a mile; appears a nice fit here with Van Dyke on the re-ride. 2. La Chepis - Put it all together in her 2nd start, as she stalked wide to the drive and drew off late for the diploma; claimed by Desormeaux from Garcia and he bumps her up a notch in price while trying winners; obviously headed in the right direction, but will need to improve again for an encore. 3. Innyminniemineymoe - Her only outing over this track saw her getting nail right on the line by Sugaratsundown in September, then she came back to finish what she started at next asking in Arcadia; first vs. winners saw her hard used on a duel from the inside and weakening at Del Mar a month ago. 4. Midnight Summer - The only two-time victress in the cast; first win came in the July debut at the seaside and then she added a tally when stretched out to a mile at Santa Anita in late October; a bit rank in that last grass miler down south and now she returns to one corner and the dirt while trying this unique course for the first time. 5. Sugaratsundown - Was on the right end of the photo with Innyminniemineymoe to get the graduation here during the fall, then suited up last Sunday while sporting a bit lower price tag and was no match for heavily-favored Fracas; will likely need a career best effort to get the job done wheeling back on the short rest. 6. Dream of Eagles - Exits an 870-yard affair here under the lights over the smaller track a month ago where she held a clear lead to deep stretch before getting collared, only to be given the victory via the stewards; figures to be a forward factor once again, but that long stretch figures to be an issue for this filly today. 2 nd by 3-Year-olds and Up, starter allowance $50,000, One Mile Legacy Ranch Pete and Evelyn Parrella Top Recent Equibase Speed Figure at this distance: Popular Kid 1. Curly s Waterfront - Has been doing all his recent work on turf with mixed results; was making first start off the Saldana claim in that last Del Mar lawn party, made what looked like a winning move at midstretch and was overhauled late in the game; has shown he can handle the dirt and Maldonado got to know him last time. 2. Saldamente - The only maiden in the line-up; got eligible for this condition by racing with a tag two back at Santa Anita coming down the hill, completing the exacta that afternoon; went evenly going once-around over the Arcadia turf at most recent asking and helps make things interesting despite having never had his picture taken. 3. Popular Kid - Just the one victory showing from 22 trips to the post, earning that score early in the year; has had to settle for nibbles in the interim, trying a bit of everything with dirt and turf, sprints and routes; back to the main track now, where he was a solid runner-up across town two back; has to be respected with Talamo getting the call. 4. Rainbow Squall - Has been racing exclusively on the grass since the spring, coming away with place and show finishes here and there while basically racing at or about this level; note he finished behind today's foes Run Like Rhett and Curly's Waterfront in his last two turf outings; runner-up the only time he competed on this surface last season. 5. Hawks Peak - Will be stretching out beyond 6.5 furlongs for the first time in his 5th trip to the post; left little doubt when he broke his maiden at 2nd asking in August at the seaside, but hasn't been able to make the needed impact in the ensuing two efforts under these conditions around one turn; first-time Roman a plus. 6. Run Like Rhett - Rattled off four straight solid tries between late June and mid-october, starting with a facile graduation while racing at the bottom rung at Santa Anita and following with a trio of grass outings; had some early trouble and never got into the hunt in that last one while finishing behind Curly's Waterfront; can certainly make presence felt with best and a clean getaway would help. 3 rd by 3-Year-olds, Grade I Los Alamitos Cash Call Futurity, One Mile and One-Sixteenth Trainer Bob Baffert Top Recent Equibase Speed Figure at this distance: Solomini 1. Instilled Regard - Fetched seven figures at auction in March and passed his first route test with flying colors as he dueled through some modest fractions and then came away like an oddson choice should in the stretch; Smith opts for McKinzie and Hollendorfer has called on Van Dyke to deputize; 2. For Him - He's the only member of the cast to have raced over this surface, just missing as the chalk in a maiden seller during the summer session; captured a modest once-around at Del Mar to get the graduation papers and then opened a long lead when trying a grassy mile in the Zuma Beach and was overpowered late; would appear to have his work cut out with this group; 10K supplement to race. 3. Solomini - First of two Baffert power players and this wellregarded son of Curlin in the only in the field with Grade I experience; did what was expected in his early September debut down at Del Mar, then was no match for Bolt D'Oro in the Front Runner while holding off the rest; part of the action all the way in the Breeder's Cup before watching Good Magic roll by and beating Bolt D'Oro, who took the ridge route; much respect. 4. Runaway Ghost - Have to like the way this Marchowsky runner has been coming along with each start, but now he gets by far his toughest assignment while testing two turns for the first time; missed some time following a solid maiden breaker at second asking in June, then completely dominated that field up north a month ago in a solid return to the wars; 10K supplement to race. 5. McKinzie - Lots of hopes pinned on this son of Street Sense as that was eye-catching debut he made at Santa Anita in late October as he left them reeling in the stretch with Smith; working bullets across town in the interim while pointing for this race and should absolutely savor the added real estate; Baffert has won all three runnings of his fixture since it's moved to Los Alamitos and nine times overall. McKinzie Solomini Instilled Regard 24 McKinzie Solomini Instilled Regard

th by 2-Year-Old Fillies, The Starlet, One Mile & One Sixteenth Paul Reddam Top Recent Equibase Speed Figure at this distance: Piedi Bianchi 1. Exuberance - Stretched out for the first time and dominated maidens when the 7-5 favorite almost two months ago. One of two in the field with a win around two turns, so that is in her favor and she was a troubled third in a stakes at a shorter trip over this track during the Los Angeles County Fair meet in September. Could factor, but improvement needed to contend for the top prize. 2. Piedi Bianchi - Raced evenly to finish fifth when 17-1 at this distance in the Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies five weeks ago. Only time she has been worse than third in her career and has already placed twice in Grade I events. Indiana bred who was purchased for $80,000 earlier this year should make her presence felt late. 3. Dream Tree - Expensive March purchase has begun her career with consecutive nose victories, the latest going seven furlongs in a stakes three weeks ago. Returned with a best of the morning drill last weekend and is the likely favorite for Hall of Fame trainer who won this race three times when it was offered at Hollywood Park. 4. War Heroine - Supplemented to this for $10,000 on the strength of a blowout maiden victory at shorter trip when dismissed at 8-1 37 days ago. Returned with a bullet drill at San Luis Rey in the interim and has a potent-jockey trainer combination in her corner. Bold threat if she handles the extra yardage. 5. Yesterday s News - Returns to dirt after completing the exacta at slightly shorter trip on turf 34 days ago. Owns a victory around two turns, defeating maidens when 10-1 the last time she tried the main track three starts ago. Trainer seeking second consecutive win in this race as he took last year s renewal with Abel Tasman. War Heroine Dream Tree Piedi Bianchi 26 Piede Bianchi War Heroine Dream Tree

th by 3-Year-Old & Up, maiden fillies & mares, top claiming price $20,000, One Mile Pamela Ziebarth Top Recent Equibase Speed Figure at this distance: Hotsy Dotsy 1. Quality Girl - Surfaces in claimer for the first time after trailiing when 49-1 at this distance in tougher race vs. California breds on turf a month ago. Has finished in front of two horses in four career starts, but homebred could wake up over her home track with the softer company. 2. Curlina Curlina - Distant third when 25-1 in race dominated by the heavy favorite, who returned to finish last in her first try vs. winners here last weekend. Has worked five times here since that race nearly two months ago, but has missed 19 chances already, so looking elsewhere. 3. Alpha Pegasus - Beat one when 32-1 in same race Hotsy Dotsy exits and has yet to finish better than fifth on both turf and dirt. Would be a surprise for stable seeking its first victory of the year. 4. Hotsy Dotsy - Runner-up in last pair since being returned to the dirt, the latest at this distance when 7-2 20 days ago. May have found a group she can handle as she makes her 15th start. The one to defeat. 5. Theverythotofyou - Stretches out after finishing fifth of six when 23-1 at much shorter trip under the lights three weeks ago. Hasn t been competitive at night, so hard to endorse in her first afternoon appearance, but the field isn t particularly strong and it s possible she could improve with increased yardage. 6. Sonnet s Joy - 7. Princess Nicole - Finished directly in front of Curlina Curlina two starts ago, then was eighth of nine when stepepd up a peg two weeks later. Unplaced in three prior starts here and figures to be a healthy price once more. Hotsy Dotsy Quality Girl Curlina Curlina 28 Hotsy Dotsy Quality Girl Curlina Curlina

th by 2-Year-Olds, maiden claiming $30,000, Five and One-Half Furlongs Michael Machowski Top Recent Equibase Speed Figure at this distance: Goliath s Girl & Fast Magoo 1. Awesome Prophecy - First of 2 from Periban barn; has been faltering, including that try here opening week at this level; blinkers come off in hopes of shaking things up a bit. 2. Quoting Hawk - Well beaten in both his appearances, now Marchowsky drops him a notch and gives him a chance to run over this unique course; obviously needs to do better. 3. Derby Kingdom - The lone new shooter in the field; Animal Kingdom has clicked twice from 27 debut 2-year-olds while the dam was winless in one start and is getting her first to the races; sold for a third of the sire's stud fee in April and has a couple of good local works showing. 4. Fabrication - Probably won't have to run much better than that near miss here during the fall meet as the even-money choice to get the job done with his soft group; willing to draw a line through that last Santa Anita effort where he came up empty. 5. Mojolicious - Just a bystander in his two starts, with both those tries coming at a mile over dirt and turf; will give the short game a try now 6. Mac McLovin - The other Periban runner and he had a couple of nibbles this summer before getting the ultimate equipment change; perhaps that will do something for his outlook. 7. Big Hunk - Never got into the swing of things when making his debut against a much tougher group in that abbreviated lawn race down at Del Mar last month; drops into a claimer now and couldn't ask for a much easier spot with Van Dyke back at the helm 8. Country Fast - Has been beaten a combined 63 lengths in his two appearances that include a debut vs. straight maidens here at the fall meet and a mile try across town while racing with this price tag; no shock to see a much better effort from this O'Neill trainee on the cutback today. 9. Downhill Run - Been well beaten in all three outings, including the most recent while off at 103-1 in an Arcadia miler; looking in other directions. Fabrication Big Hunk Mac McLovin 30 Big Hunk Fabrication Mac McLovin

th by 3-Year-Olds & Up, top claiming price $6,250, Five Furlongs Jockey Brayan Pena Top Recent Equibase Speed Figure at this distance: Carulli & Helluva Choice 1. T s Place - Beat pair when 5-2 favorite going shorter distance at night 15 days ago. Distant fourth after wide trip in restricted claimer for higher price tag in only afternoon start here during the Los Angeles County Fair meet in September. Hard to endorse. 2. Carulli- Distant third when almost 15-1 at this distance 10 days ago in race dominated by a sharp Cat From Iraq. Has hit the board in half of his 10 starts this year, so can share once more. 3. Always Never - Scratched at the gate Dec. 2 and returns for same price at which he was an easy gate-to-wire winner when favored under the lights five weeks ago. Chance if able to shalke loose early and he did break his maiden at longer trip on the synthetic surface at Del Mar Nov. 28, 2014 when trained by Mike Puype. 4. Helluva Choice - Invades from the opposite coast after finishing a close third at this trip on the turf six weeks ago at the Meadowlands in New Jersey. Seeking first exacta finish on dry land for stable winning at an 18% clip in 2017. 5. Who s Hot - Tracked the pace and was up late to win when 3-1 at night almost a month ago. Trailed when 2-1 in only previous afternoon try at this venue when claimed for $8,000 from Jerry Hollendorfer. Jockey has won with four of his last eight mounts for this stable, so not impossible. 6. Chief Tiger - Distant second behind eventual repeater Golden Atlantic when last seen nearly three months ago. Light work tab in the interim for gelding who did win over this track at slightly longer distance during the Summer Thoroughbred Festival in July. 7. Mizter Kool Kat - A late scratch out of the same race as Always Never a week ago and has yet to hit the board in four starts in the afternoon over this track. Lone win came at night going 870 yards six months ago. Prefer others. 8. Long Game - Returns in six days after trailing when 82-1 at longer distance for higher price. Moves outside, but hasn t been competitive vs. winners since upsetting maidens when 9-1 at longer distance in first after being claimed for $40,000 from George Papaprodromou. 8 th by 3-Year-Olds & Up, California breds, allowance/claiming, claiming price $20,000, Five & One Half Furlongs Jockey Flavien Prat Top Recent Equibase Speed Figure at this distance: Hardcore Troubador 1. Prime Issue - Shortens up after getting fried in a pace duel in a state bred stakes three weeks ago. Eleven-time winner has scored from this post before and rattled off consecutive victories for this stable earlier in the year. Rebound is possible. 2. Packin Heat- Trailed when 30-1 in similar spot two weeks ago and seeking first exacta finish of 2017. Lone victory came more than 18 months ago. Pass. 3. Highly Acclaimed - Set pace, then faltered going longer on the turf 23 days ago. Broke his maiden sprinting, but that victory came on the hillside in Arcadia and he hasn t a factor in two previous attempts on dirt. Longshot. 4. Closing Time - Idle since finishing sixth of eight when 7-1 on the turf more than seven months ago. Capable of firing fresh as he was runner-up in his debut as a 2-year-old and could make some late noise. 5. Guy Code - Speedy gelding has one way to go and will appreciate the shorter trip after finishing fiifth of nine when 17-1 in same race Packin Heat exits. Has been 1-2 in four of six here and was an easy winner over this track July 14 for this stable. 6. Fire to the Wire - Goes for new connections after being claimed for $25,000 from Janet Armstrong when third at longer distance three weeks ago. Got feel for the surface with a half-mile drill a week ago and seems capable of sharing. 7. Matriculate - No worse than third in his last four starts, the latest when runner-up after more than 10 months on the shelf. Two works in the interim for new stable after being tagged for $25,000 from Bill Spawr. Exotics threat at the very least in his local debut. 8. Here Comes Autism - Shocked maidens here at 52-1 vs. weak field during the Los Angeles County Fair meet in September before going back-to-back at night at shorter distance. Believe the streak ends here. 9. Hardcore Troubador - Controlled the pace and romped vs. state bred maidens when 6-5 at this distance Nov. 1. Will face competition from Guy Code for early supremacy, so siding against a repeat as he has yet to demonstrate he can sit and finish. 10. Bolster - Had win streak snapped at two when chasing Desert Law, who has since won again, six weeks ago. Retains rider who was aboard for the victories and should be tracking the pace from this cozy slot. 11. Tough But Nice --Held on for 13-1 upset vs. restricted claimers three weeks ago at longer distance. Figures to be outrun for the early lead if he participates, so don t think he will be going back-to-back. Bolster Prime Issue Matriculate Matriculate Bolster Prime Issue 34

th by 3-Year-Olds & Up, starter allowance, One Mile Trainer Vann Belvoir Top Recent Equibase Speed Figure at this distance: Beaumarchais 1. Just Kidding - Split field when 7-1 at this distance 27 days ago in first after being claimed for $40,000 from Peter Eurton. Worked a bullet half mile in Arcadia since raced and does own a local win. Threat off his best and goes outside to inside. 2. Ground Rules- Finished far back when sixth of eight when tried in the Grade II Marathon Nov. 3. Much more comfortable with these and two of his wins have come at eight furlongs. Switches to jockey who won three times during the first four days of the Winter meet. 3. Beaumarchais - Protected after being claimed for $16,000 from Dan Blacker after winning his third in a row two weeks ago. Should be a pace factor once more for stable that won opening week with Sheswildnfree, but siding with others. 4. Dadtaughtmewell - Finished close fourth in race won by Just Kidding in last start two months ago. Gelding won at this level over this track during the 2016 Winter meet and returns in a spot where he can t be claimed, so seems an exotics threat at the very least. 5. Chris and Dave - Chased eventual repeater Got Even when second at 18-1 nearly two months ago and was a tough luck loser the last time he competed here Sept. 14. Player from close range and his last two wins came under this rider. 6. Storm Comin Thru - GStablemate of Dadtaughtmewell failed to threaten when fifth of six in first in 11 months Sept. 21. Blew out sharply four mornings ago, but is not big on winning and hasn t hit the board in three previous starts at this venue. 7. City Steel - Completed the trifecta in last pair, most recently when chasing repeater Image of Joplin 43 days ago. Veteran gelding likes to win races and is proven here, having scored over this track in 2016. 8. Red Carpet Cat - Stretches out again after chasing repeater Big League at shorter trip three weeks ago. Lone sophomore in the field has done all of his winning sprinting, so seems up against it in this spot. 9. Incensed - Goes inside to outside, turf to dirt and sprint to route after failing as the favorite on grass 23 days ago. Winless in 2017 and his three wins have come in turf sprints on turf, but has winning connections in his corner. Conflicting signals.
