Official Publication of the Junior Foundation Vol. 8, Issue 12 January 2017 Junior Tour Edition Dear Junior Golfers & Parents Junior Tour Director Updates Website changes coming in January www.wiscjuniorgolf.com Tentative 2017 Schedule available on January 20 online Look for junior membership application online starting January 20. Memberships will be mailed out to all 2016 members and DCP participants in January. Happy New Year from the WPGA Junior Foundation! The Junior Foundation would like to thank the PGA Professionals, golf course owners, superintendents and sponsors for another successful season. We are looking forward to making events even better. We have made a few changes for the 2017 season. The first major change will be the look of the junior calendar we mail out. We have updated the junior packet to make it easier to view the events and mail in entry forms. Another change will be the way families register for the Junior membership. In prior years, paper forms were required for Family memberships. We will now allow Sibling (formerly referred to as Family) memberships to be completed online. The Sibling membership will continue to be discounted over the Individual membership. You will also see a change in the Players Tour eligibility for the 2017 season. In years past the handicap requirement for boys was under an 8.1 WSGA index. In 2017, boys will need an index of under 10.0 to participate in Players Tour events. The girls eligibility index of under 18.0 will not change. Handicaps need to be verified by Foundation staff before prior to registration.
