SHOW RULES 1. Entries are open to residents of Ponteland and the adjoining Parishes of Heddon-on-the-Wall, Stamfordham, Belsay, Whalton, Stannington, Dinnington, and Woolsington; to children attending schools and to members of organisations meeting in these Parishes. 2. All entries must be submitted to the Secretary on the official entry form (printed at end of this Schedule) by 10:30 a.m. on Show Day. 3. Entry fees are 20p for all classes, except Children s Classes, for which entry is free. In Classes 1 to 131 prizes are : 1 st 2, 2 nd 1, 3 rd 50p; except classes 4,15, 84,90 and 96. Prize money will be paid only between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Show Day. 4. Any number of entries may be made in all classes, except for Photographic Classes. 5. Staging will be permitted on Friday 9th September, between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.; and on Saturday 10th September between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. 6. No exhibits may be removed before the end of the Show. 7. Exhibitors must obtain entry cards from the Secretary at the Show, and place a correctly completed card beside each exhibit. In Children s Classes, the child s age must be shown on each entry card. 8. Cut flowers must be staged in vases of specified size, which will be available if required. 9. The decisions of the judges shall be final. Judges may modify the prizes awarded, at their discretion. 10. Flower, fruit and vegetable produce must be grown by the Exhibitor. 11. In relation to industrial classes, no commercial mixes are allowed in Cookery Classes; and no commercial kits are allowed in Handicraft Classes, except Class 110. Entries must not have been shown previously at Ponteland Parish Flower Show. 12. Exhibits and Exhibitors property will be at the risk of the Exhibitor.
