Membes of Deby and Distict Beathe Easy wee delighted to pesent a Dynamap machine costing 1,395 fo the Pulmonay Rehabilitation Depatment. Sophie Wad is only 13, but she bavely swam a mile in Lake Windemee to aise 137.50 each fo the Beast Cae Unit and Radiotheapy as a thank you fo the cae given to he gandmothes. Malcolm Peace and Angela Roome who both wok in the hospital s H R depatment took pat in Pedal in the Peaks in memoy of Peggy Leuty to buy Ipads fo the patients to use on the Stoke Rehabilitation Unit. Shelagh Woolley aised 2,304.45 by oganising a jumble sale to aise money fo the Special Cae Baby Unit afte he gandson Zakai spent two weeks thee. Zakai s mum Rachel, his 3 bothes and cousin came with Shelagh to pesent the cheque. Ms Josephine Capewell and he husband Pete visited the Coonay cae Unit to pesent a cheque fo 1,150 to Senio Staff Nuse Linda Clake. Ms Capewell held a skittles day and he son did a skydive to aise the money to say thank you fo the cae Ms Capewell eceived as a patient in the unit in Januay 2013. 4 Cal Pegg completed the tough Thee Peaks Challenge to aise 529 fo the Dematology Depatment. Mick Hading and fiends aised 1,600 fo the Cadiac Rehabilitation depatment by selling thei vey own calenda boys style calenda. Donations in memoy of M Geoff Jennings-Cocke wee used to puchase a heat failue machine which was pesented to staff fom the Heat Failue Clinic. Thanks go to all his family and fiends.

Focus on The Childe Staff fom the Childen s Hospital ae patients have the best possible expe We will be poviding a new Sensoy oom to allow childen to have fun and elax and educe tension in a calming, estful, peaceful envionment. Sensoy ooms have many benefits and can help to calm down an oveactive child but inteest an inactive child. The Childen s Hospital League of Fiends have vey kindly ageed to help fund the new sensoy oom which will cost moe than 25,000 which is fantastic news. Bob Badwal oganises the annual Bobby Doka memoial golf match and he visited the Childen s Hospital with his son to pesent the 1,410 they aised. Laua Hudson s fist half maathon in Leeds aised 647. 6 Chucklebutties in Belpe held vaious fundaising events thoughout the yea to aise ove 460. Elms Junio School at Tent College in Long Eaton held a Chaity Readathon and aised 960 which they spent on new books fo the Childen s Hospital. Students Ben Hutchinson and Hannah Delaney deliveed the books with the school s Headteache and Libaian.

Also, thanks to a legacy, wok has ecently stated on a new assessment aea in the Childen s Emegency Depatment. Assessing childen in this aea will mean they don t have to be admitted to a wad which will make a eal diffeence. We ll tell you moe about this exciting new poject in the next edition of Exchange. Emily Donoghue cycled 33km along the Tissington Tail and aised moe than 206 fo the Childen s Hospital Epilepsy Depatment. Rianna Richadson is only 10, but she cycled 32 laps of Daley Pak to aise 115 afte a elative asked fo donations to the Childen s Hospital instead of flowes. Rolls Royce C9 aea kindly donated 300-200 fom the auction of 2 tool boxes and 100 as a pesonal contibution fom one of the C9 fittes. Rosie Lenton, Lillie Stevens and Lily Hudson, fom Woodlands School oganised a chaity ball which aised aound 1,800 towads the new sensoy oom. Callum Waing aged 4 and his paents Kelly and Simon did a sponsoed bike ide aound Casington Wate and held a chaity aftenoon with a silent auction in thei local village hall to aise 2,000 fo lots of lovely new toys which Callum and his baby bothe Casey pesented to staff fom the play team.
