FIBR OPTIC BROADBAND Information and Communication Technology is the cornerstone of the modern economy, underpinning commercial activity across all sectors. The ultrafast broadband will provide the same connectivity as Birmingham city centre and make the business hub more attractive to heavy-use operations such as data centres, -commerce and data mining companies and internet exchange points. Longbridge has the potential to install ultrafast broadband connections as part of the utilities package and aspires to act as a partner in Birmingham s bid to become a Smart City. It will also reinforce Longbridge s ITC Park status which it was granted by Birmingham City Council in 2012 in recognition of its potential to attract millions of pounds of inward investment from ICT companies, in turn generating thousands of jobs.
