Ambassadors will not eat food or drinks served in Hospitality Venues, even if offered. Ambassadors can not drink alcoholic beverages while working. If you choose to drink alcohol after your shift, please place your Ambassador Credential inside your shirt or bring another shirt to change into. Please do not smoke while on duty. Ambassador Policies You may bring your cell phone to the tournament as long as the ringer is set to silent mode while on the golf course. The Standard Bearer Committee policy is that your phone should be left in our tent during your assignment on the course. Phone calls may be made or received in designated Cell Phone Zones throughout the course (i.e.-concession stands) You are not allowed to take videos/audios of players at ANY time with your mobile phone. Cameras/photos are allowed Monday through Wednesday. Texting and email is permissible outside of the Cell Phone Zones but NOT when players are in position to compete, i.e. Our Marshals have their hands raised.

Ambassador Policies To reiterate, to prevent a cell phone mishap while on the golf course, as a Standard Bearer, your cell phone will need to be left in our tent. As in years past, we will provide plastic bags that you can write your name on to store your phone in our tent during your round.

Severe Weather Understanding Severe Weather procedures while attending and volunteering for the Championship is important to your safety during the tournament. Please carefully review the following information.

Severe Weather In the event of thunderstorms, lightning or other severe weather, Weather Warning information will be displayed on the electronic scoreboards around the golf course. When these warnings appear, spectators are advised to take precautions and seek shelter even before play is suspended. If the siren sounds suspending play, seek shelter immediately (see the spectator guide for rain shelters). The electronic scoreboards will keep spectators advised as to the length of delay of play.

Severe Weather In the event of severe weather and lightning, avoid the following areas: Bleachers Hilltops or high places Tall or isolated trees Open Areas Golf Carts Lakes and Ponds Metal fences, barricades, etc.

Standard Bearer Severe Weather Procedures If you are on assignment on the course, please note that the priority of the Evacuation Vans are: Our Golfers and their caddies The Walking Scorer On occasion, there may be room for you and your Standard. In any case, return to our Standard Bearer s Tent with your Standard as soon as possible. We will use our Tent We will have a role in the restart of play.

Uniforms Ambassador s Golf Shirt and Hat for this year s Championship. No Championship pins from previous Tournament years. Men s uniform should be beige/tan pants or knee length shorts Women s uniform should be beige/tan pants, capris, knee length or longer shorts, skirts or skorts Please plan to wear comfortable shoes. You are expected to keep all parts of your uniform free of autographs.

Uniforms Please wear Patron Attire on days you are not working as an Ambassador. Please NO Cargo Pants or Shorts with your ambassador Uniform. To distinguish Committee Chairs and Hole Captains from Ambassadors, there will be a special crest embroidered onto the right sleeve of their shirt and jackets. They also have vertical badges with this insignia as well. Please feel free to seek them out. They should be able to help you with any questions you may have.

Uniforms For inclement weather it is strongly recommended that you wear one of our WFC ambassador rain suits or one of our clear plastic Rain ponchos. If you do not have a WFC outerwear piece, you can wear a Navy or Black jacket with no logo. A limited number of Optional Nike Rain Suit with jacket and pants will be available for purchase at this year s Credential Pickup. Remember, as a Standard Bearer, you will not be able to carry an umbrella. For cold weather, wear your Wells Fargo Championship jacket and for warmth, a white sleeve shirt/turtle neck underneath your Wells Fargo Championship shirt. Gloves are a good idea if it is very cold and rainy (let s hope that this does not happen!) You cannot wear previous years Wachovia or Quail Hollow Championship jackets.

Standard Bearer Responsibilities Starting your Day To get a general idea of your tee time, you can use the chart provided on our training library or the local newspaper times. Plan to arrive at the course no later than one hour before your group number s tee time. Please note that you will need approximately 20 minutes to arrive at the Golf Course from the parking area. Please report directly to the Standard Bearers Tent so we can check you in, give you your food voucher for the day and get you ready to work your round. The Standard Bearers Tent will be located to the right of first Tee.

Now you are inside the ropes! Welcome to the Standard Bearer Committee!

Standard Bearer Responsibilities When you arrive at the tee, find the walking scorer (they will have a radio and a PDA) and introduce yourself. At the end of each hole, they will confirm with you the need to change the score for each player. We keep par relative posted beside the player s name on both sides of the Standard. BLACK numbers are for scores Above Par RED numbers are for scores Under Par A GREEN E is used for scores that are Even Par if you do not have enough E s you may use a BLACK 0.

Standard Bearer Responsibilities The PGA TOUR expects that the Walking Scorer and Standard Bearer to stay together throughout the round while following our professionals. The PGA TOUR has provided instructions that you should review. These instructions are located in the Standard Bearer Training Library under Instructions for Scorers and Standard- Bearers. Please go to the Training Library to review. Be aware of our fans and make the Standard visible to them when you are on the tee, walking the fairways and around the green. Please remember to hold your sign parallel to the fairways. Be aware of the THROUGH BOARDS and make sure the ambassadors manning these positions get a view of your standard. (We will not have Thru Boards 2017)

Standard Bearer Responsibilities Please make every effort to walk in the first cut around the greens, avoiding the Rough. We would like to make the course as challenging as possible for our professionals! NEVER lean your Standard against anything. They are prone to tilt and fall and can make a horrendous noise! If there is an occasion that you need to leave your standard unattended for a few minutes, ask your Walking Scorer to steady the Standard or temporarily place the Standard flat on the ground.

Standard Bearer Responsibilities Each green has a gate or exit area which you will use to go to the next hole. Once play has completed for the hole, wait until the last professional has departed the green prior to heading to the next tee box. Be aware of our fans view at all times. Use your steadying hand as a pointer for the golfer that is addressing the ball. This is a nice way to let our fans know who is currently shooting. This special touch is only done at premier PGA TOUR events.

Standard Bearer Responsibilities HYDRATE While walking the course, remember to hydrate. There is water on each tee box in a water cooler. You are also allowed to use the Player Relief areas at the Number 1 and Number 10 tee boxes. Please allow your professionals and caddies priority to these areas. If anything comes up on the course and you need to relay any information back to the Standard Bearer tent, remember that your partner, the Walking Scorer, has a radio, and can get a message to us.

Standard Bearer Responsibilities At the end of 18 holes, your golfers and the Walking Scorer will review scores in Scoring Center. Standard Bearers are NOT ALLOWED in the Scoring Center, but you may remain outside. Sometimes a Professional golfer may recognize your contributions by presenting you with a ball or some other token. It is unacceptable for you to ask for recognition/tokens from the golfer. Always return as soon as possible to Standard Bearer s Tent. We will need you to return the standard and apron so that they can be setup for the next day. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the early morning Standards and aprons will be used in the afternoon.

Standard Bearer Responsibilities Your goal on the golf course to is to be invisible to the players and visible to the crowd. The best compliment you can receive at the end of the day is: Thank you for walking with us today, I forgot you were there.

Standard Bearer Pool Each day there is a Standard Bearer s Pool. If you are assigned the AM or PM Pool, then you need to report to the Standard Bearer s tent on that day for that shift in time to possibly be assigned to the first tee time of the day. If a group assignment comes open, the first pool member that checked in for the shift will be assigned to the group. If a group is not available, other duties may be assigned in support of the committee. The pool is critical to the smooth operation of our committee.

THANK YOU ALL FOR HELPING TO MAKE THE 2017 WELLS FARGO CHAMPIONSHIP A SUCCESS!!!!!! We are a Premier PGA TOUR Event!
