Contact me or Denise Meyer, Show Manager, and we will get it mailed to you. The Silent Auction is being managed by Ann Ford (Jim s better half). If you have something you would like to donate for the Auction, contact Ann. A portion of the profits from the Show and Auction benefit the Wichita Children s Home. We are trying to put on a trail ride, but need someone to organize it. AHA also has a Frequent Rider Program where you can earn great awards just for riding your horse(s). Look inside for more info. Awards are based on the number of hours you ride or drive an eligible horse. Currently, awards include Lapel Pins, AHA T-shirts, AHA Hats, AHA Soft-sided Cooler and more. There is no time limit to reach these goals. For more information, contact AHA or go to www.arabianhorses.org. Advantages of joining an AHA-Affiliated Club (like the Kansas Arabian Horse Society Club #8278) It has come to our attention that there are many people who are Direct-Members of AHA with no club affiliation. One of the main reasons to join an AHA-affiliated club is to SAVE MONEY. But there are other advantages, such as: Enjoy associating with other Arabian horse owners and Arabian horse enthusiast Pleasure ride with other Arabians Enjoy club social events, such as pot lucks, meetings, etc. Be eligible for club sponsored programs and awards Receive regular communications via club and Region 8 newsletters and emails Have a voice be represented Vote in your club, or become an officer or serve on a committee Be counted towards the Delegate strength Serve as a voting Delegate to Region 8 meetings & the Annual AHA Convention Direct-AHA members are NOT represented at Regional meetings and Convention SAVE MONEY get a discount on a Competition Card (required for those competing in AHA-recognized shows and distance rides, Horse Achievement Awards, recording of Open competitions as well as getting $1 million personal excess liability insurance). If you know of someone who is a Direct-member of AHA, invite them to join our group and BE REPRESENTED.
