Itinerary Day to Day Day 1: Individual arrival to Salzburg Arrival to the culturally rich town of Mozart. Take your time for a walk through the historic center and visit Mozart s birthplace. Day 2: Salzburg - Golling 35 km You follow the course of the Salzach River and soon reach Hallein. The Salt Worlds were already closed in 1989 and can be visited in the public mine. The tireless cyclists can take a detour into the romantic valley of Bluntau. In today s destination of Golling you should schedule enough time to visit the legendary waterfall. Pinterest.com Day 3: Golling - Hallstatt/Bad Aussee 30 km + bus transfer After breakfast you have a transfer with our bike shuttle to your next accommodation in Hallstatt, respectively Bad Aussee. In the afternoon you can take a round trip to the following lakes: Toplitzsee, Grundlsee as well as Altausseer See. Day 4: Hallstatt/Bad Aussee - Bad Ischl 40 km You leave this magnificent region and always cycle alongside the beautiful Hallstättersee (lake). The majestic Dachstein massif, with its glacier fields, will accompany you for a long time and create a fabulous impression. Soon you reach Bad Goisern, where you can take a lunch break. Your destination for today is Bad Ischl, inseparably combined with the name of Emperor Franz Joseph, who always spent his summer days there. In any case you should visit the Kaiservilla and try a cake in the famous confectionary Zauner. Day 5: Bad Ischl Altmünster/surrounding 50 km A lovely round trip takes you to the lake Wolfgangsee, where you cycle via Strobl to St. Wolfgang. Take some time for a cup of coffee in the well-known hotel Weißes Rößl. You take the ferry to the other side and cycle back to Bad Ischl. There you follow the river Traun until you reach Ebensee. Day 6: Altmünster/surrounding - Mondsee 40 km Our bike shuttle takes you uphill over 800 meters above sea level to the alp named Großalm. You cycle to the lake Taferlklausee and subsequently you can enjoy the breathtaking downhill ride to Lake Attersee. Over the beautiful Weißenbach valley you always ride alongside the banks of Lake Attersee, continue along Lake Mondsee and finally reach your overnight stay at Mondsee. Day 7: Mondsee - Salzburg 30 km On your last cycling route you follow the Thalgau bike trail back to Salzburg, the town of Mozart. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delicacies and review your impressions of your bike tour. Day 8: Individual departure or extension In Salzburg there are lots of sights to discover. The distances are selected in such a way that they allow best comfort. For the few parts with heavy increases we included transfers. With little basic fitness this tour is easy to master.
