Welcome to WAKApalooza! And thank you for participating in our FIRST EVER Bar Games Tournament. We are so glad you could join us. This tournament is for those of you who enjoy the post game just as much as the kickball game. There s everything from costumes to beer games, all those details that help create those WAKA smiles! Scoring Costumes Captain s will rank teams by favorite (not including their own team) favorite (1) to least (3) The tournament will kick off with 21 Against The Clock Pong where you will be seeded in your pool on how you place in this event. *The pools where selected with careful balance based on origin of team. The top rank from each pool after each event will get to pick their order of play for the next event. Teams will be ranked/scored 1 5 (5th=1, 4th=2, etc. )
21 Cup Against the Clock Pong 4 player min., 1 female min. Teams may play up to 5 with a the fifth being a permanent drinker or sinker (team choice) Determines initial ranking within pool. SETUP: 30 balls per team *ONLY BALLS THEY ARE ALLOWED TO THROW & EACH BALL ONCE! BALLS ARE NOT TO BE SHAGGED OR TEAM WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY PLACED LAST 21 cups in a perfect triangle at one end of the table. OBJECT: To have the least amount of cups left on your table/most cups pulled. Cups must be SANK and DRANK by the final buzzer. Each team has 2 mins. to sink and drink as many cups they can. 2 designated drinkers at one end of the table (cup side), 2 designated sinkers at the other. At the 1 min. marker, game clock stops and players will switch roles to have 30 seconds to re rack within the 21 triangle before the clock starts again. Any cups not within the triangle at this time will be deemed ineligible for pull. Even if a shot is made the cup must stay. At the end of the last minute all hands go up. *Cups must be pulled from the triangle before the buzzer to be counted. Balls thrown after the final buzzer will not count.
Best out of 5, 5 cup min, 4 player min., 1 female min. per round Round tie breakers will be settled by a one on one two cup anchor player flip off. Place tie breakers will be determined by number of rounds won total.
2 player (may sub out each round to allow more roster participation), 1 girl min for at least one round out of the match. OBJECT: First one to make four in a row, from memory *NO PEEKING*, all participating players with raised hands, shout out four in a row wins the round. SETUP: 5X5 cup grid, Tower cup in the middle (bonus/advantage cup). 10 balls per team. No freezing your opponent out, you must shoot in a timely manner. First team to bounce 4 in a row (bonus advantage/points if made with the tower cup) FROM MEMORY *NO PEEKING*. Diagonals and up and down count only. Balls that are bounced and miss a cup may not be bounced again and will be considered dead balls.
Timed Event, 5 cup/player, 1 girl minimum OBJECT: Beer chug for the fastest time. SETUP: Straight line of 9 cups Each team member drinks half beer on the inbound except the anchor (fourth player) who will drink a full cup. Game continues back down the outbound where another half cup is drank by the rest. Cup must be held over your head before the next player touches his/her cup and begins to Purposely spilled beer will have a 30 sec. penalty. Time will be added for significant spillage as deemed by the ref.
WAKA Rock out! Rock Band competition CPU Score + Judge (scores 1 10) Lead guitar, bass guitar, vocal, drums, backup dancers (optional), 1 female min. We Will Rock You by Queen OBJECT: Be the ultimate WAKA Rockstar performing on MTV s Rockband featured on a Wii console. Style that goes into the overall performance. Sing it! Literal karaoke knowledge of the song, as rated by the computer. Bring it! Kickball Rockstar Factor Overall stage presence Surprise guest judges will be on site to rate your performance.
WAKA WHEEL OF FORTUNE Full team participation but the Captain acts as the spokesperson. OBJECT: Outsmart your opponent by scoring the most points by spinning the WAKA wheel and solving the word puzzle. Best out of 4 rounds. Wheel sections/scoring: FORFEIT Lose your turn FOUL OUT Lose your turn SINGLE = 1 POINT DOUBLE = 2 POINTS TRIPLE = 3 POINTS HOMERUN = 4 POINTS GRANDSLAM = 5 POINTS COST TO BUY A VOWEL= 3 POINTS INCORRECT GUESS = LOSE HALF YOUR POINTS CORRECTLY SOLVE THE WORD PUZZLE = 5 POINTS Each team turn will allow a wheel spin. After a successful wheel spin (granted team did not spin out by losing a turn) teams may guess a consonant. Successful guesses grant a chance to solve the puzzle or pass. On incorrect guesses teams will lose half their points and the turn will defer to the next team. The next team will have a chance to guess or spin.
