Lift Passes We issue pre-booked passes at the chalet which are handed to you on your arrival in resort saving precious time queuing at the lift pass offices our prices are identical to the prices you can find in resort, and sometimes we have special offers which you can t find anywhere else so you don t pay anything for the service and convenience. Everyone receives a discounted rate where everyone skis at the child price and children are counted up to 17 years old, as opposed to the normal 12 years old so this is a great bargain for families with teenagers. When booking family passes, please let us know which family members belong together and provide us with dates of birth for all children. To qualify as a family, the adults and children need to normally share the same surname (although not essential if family relationship can be proven) and be living at the same address. Proof of age, family and residential status may be requested in the resort. Family passes are also available for longer durations so please ask us for these prices Page 2 of 10
Free Ski Passes ** Children under 5 years old and adults over 75 years are free ** Children under 5 years old and adults over 75 years are free. If you would like us to provide free passes, then we will require a copy of the passport and a recent photo clearly showing the face a passport type photograph is ideal. These must be sent at least one week in advance by email to sales@skiamis.com if we don t receive the emailed documents, the free pass order cannot be provided. Insurance with your Lift Pass Carré Neige By default we do NOT add insurance to your lift pass as most guests have better alternative travel insurance and it is not advisable to be doubly insured. However, Carré Neige insurance is available at a supplement if required - at 2.80 Euros per person per day. This does not replace proper holiday insurance but will provide some assistance in the case of an accident on the piste. Please let us know when you book if you require this insurance as it cannot be added afterwards. Please note this insurance is not sold or recommended by Ski Amis and you must make your own decision as to its suitability to cover your needs full details of the cover provided are available on their website at http://www.carreneige.com/en/ Ski School Oxygene Magic Ski School The new 2017-2018 season sees the merger of two of the top ski schools in the area Magic in Motion and Oxygene Ski and Snowboard school have now joined forces under the Oxygene brand. So if you were thinking we have stopped using Magic in Motion, don t worry it s still magic but under a different name! The instructors and staff of Magic in Motion will continue to work for the new organisation, and the infamous Magic Kids Fun Factory will be just as before. Because of the small class sizes and their excellent reputation for a fun teaching style, they become fully booked very quickly and we recommend booking your place as early as possible particularly for peak school holiday weeks. Classes have a minimum number of people necessary before the lesson can fully operate (general 3 people per group) so if there are not enough people subscribed then the ski school may adjust the lessons, but they guarantee they will not cancel a course due to lack of participants. They also guarantee a maximum number of people for each class to ensure the quality of teaching. Child Care Child Care Babysitting The local tourist office holds a list of registered local babysitters who are able to provide a service for an evening or short period of time. The list is issued at the start of each season and we have a copy available in each chalet. The private nanny services listed above may also offer babysitting services depending on the availability of their nannies with prices between 20 euros and 40 euros an hour depending on when the service is required. Child Care Private Nanny Services There are various private nanny services operating in the resort many of which are English companies with British nannies working in resort. As nanny services are a personal preference between the parents and the nanny, we prefer to leave this service to the childcare professionals and we ll leave you to discuss personally with the nanny services to choose the one you feel is most appropriate for your child. Prices for a full time nanny for a week are approximately 700 to 800 for one child the ratios of children to nannies depend on the age of the children and also the charges made for additional children vary between the companies. Equipment Rental We work with Ski Set under a global contract covering all resorts Ski Set are the largest chain of equipment rental providers and are able to provide top quality equipment at all levels in all resorts. Our discounted rates below are for service at the local shop and are for pre-bookings only. Prices are between 40% - 60% discounted from the standard public prices - depending on the level. From time to time, the local shops may offer promotions or additional discounts and in this case we will also pricematch to ensure you have the best deal available. Gold Performance and Platinum Excellence levels allow you to change the equipment once during the week if you want to try out different skis or boards or to switch from one to the other. Please note A ski pack consists of skis, boots and poles and does NOT include a helmet which must be added separately if required. Although they are not a legal requirement in France, helmets are strongly recommended for both adults and children. Levels Bronze Economy (Skis) Lowest price reliable equipment for the skier on a budget equipment which has been downgraded from higher levels due to its age skis in their third year of use and not recommended unless you are trying to keep the costs very low. Ski lengths are from 100cm to 150cm equipment is a maximum of three years old.
