MESSAGE FROM LADBROKES Ladbrokes is thrilled to be the naming sponsor of the 2016 Golden Easter Egg Carnival. Ladbrokes is proud of its partnership with the NSW Greyhound Breeders, Owners and Trainers Association, which stands as the leading wagering partnership across Australia between corporate bookmaker and race club. Our association with the NSW GBOTA has already ensured that an additional $100,000 has been returned to participants through the Ladbrokes Monthly Medal. This unique initiative was implemented in March 2015, and by the time of the Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg 2016 we expect a further $30,000 will have been handed back to participants. This is on and above our sponsorship and signage arrangements. We are delighted to become the major sponsor of the Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Carnival. In 2015, we sponsored the Ladbrokes Magic Maiden and we saw firsthand the benefits of being engaged in such a powerful greyhound racing Carnival. The opportunity to take our involvement to the next level is welcomed and we will be doing more than our share to enhance the carnival s profile. Ladbrokes are continually developing innovative wagering promotions for participants and punters alike. Currently we offer cutting edge accessibility and usage convenience to our account holders. Further, on Group race meetings at Wentworth Park we have also offered a range of returns including Best Tote + 20%. You truly can bet better with Ladbrokes! On behalf of all at Ladbrokes, we wish all 2016 Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Carnival competitors the best of luck. James Burnett Chief Marketing Officer LADBROKES MESSAGE FROM THE NSW GBOTA The Golden Easter Egg is now well and truly entrenched in the Australian greyhound racing industry as one of its greatest championships. Its three week structure continues to ensure that all runners have the fairest opportunity to progress to the final and only the truest of champions are ultimately successful. In 2016, the NSW GBOTA welcomes on board Ladbrokes as Carnival Partner. Ladbrokes have continued to develop innovative ways to support the NSW greyhound racing industry, primarily through the NSW GBOTA network. The extension of this support to the Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Carnival ensures that participants receive the best possible returns. This year also brings other changes, the 2015/16 racing calendar has seen Wentworth Park now consistently hold the Wednesday and Saturday night positions on SKY 1. As a result, the Carnival s events have been restructured to fit these timings. Ultimately, we believe this only advantages participants, particularly those in the Group 3 Ladbrokes Magic Maiden, who now receive a seven day turnaround from heats to semi-finals and ten days from the semis to $25,000 to the winner Final. The day change will see the Group 3 New Sensation reduced to a two week series and the addition of events for Masters, low grade sprinters and the short course performers during other meetings throughout the Carnival period. The result will be an unprecedented three weeks of racing that genuinely caters for all runners of all capabilities. Participants are encouraged to review the Trainers Guide thoroughly and understand methods of qualification for the Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg. Our Operations Manager, Ellen Harris, is available to answer questions and assist where she can. Interstate trainers are also encouraged to ensure their respective GRNSW prizemoney split forms are completed and lodged prior to the series commencing. Again, please speak to us if you have any questions. Finally, on behalf of the Directors of the NSW GBOTA, we wish all competitors the very best of luck and safe racing.
