League Rules 1. The height of the board above the ground is 5 Ft 3ins, to the center of the bull. 2. All baits and lighting are to be checked by the relative team Secretaries. 3. The bait is 7 Ft 6ins from the drop of the bull to the toe line. 4. Teams must have decent boards. At the opposing Captain s discretion. Small bull to be removed. An addendum to this rule was added / voted at the 2012 AGM that Any disagreements between Captains that cause the match to be postponed then member of the committee must be informed a.s.a.p. No complaint after the match has taken place. 5. All games are to start at 8.45pm prompt. 6. 7 per team + 2 named reserve after the third game. 7. A player can only play for one team. 8. A player is not allowed to sign on for any other league on Mondays. The penalty banned from the league. 9. Result sheets must be delivered to the Packet House on the Friday of the same week if not then a fine of 5.00 will be levied. An addendum to this rule was added / voted at the 2012 AGM that sheets in by Friday for collection by committee on the Saturday. Result Sheets must be completed in full with all names & Signatures otherwise will be void. 10. The signing on fee per player is 2.00 11. Away teams only to be allowed on the bait from 8.30 to 8.45pm. No home team members after 8.30pm. Page 1 of 8
12. The footer fees were 15.00 per team per month. An addendum to this rule was added / voted at the 2012 AGM that an increase of 5.00 will be added, making to 20.00 per team per month. 13. Teams missing Secretaries monthly meetings will be fined 5.00 on the first occurrence, 10.00 on the second, 15.00 on the third, 20.00 on the fourth, then will increase by 5.00 on each subsequent occasion. 14. There will be 10 trophies awarded to the league and team K.O. s Winners and runners up. Any extra All baits and lighting are to be checked by the relative team Secretaries. 15. Team K.O. Draws will be made @ Sec s meetings 16. Entries to the Singles and Pairs K.O. s ( 2 per head) are to be handed in @ the Sec s Meetings as advised. An addendum to this rule was added / voted at the 2012 AGM that once an entry has been made / paid for that a player cannot be replaced once the draw has taken place. 17. All competitions will be played on Monday evenings. All singles and pairs Competitions will be the best of three legs. All matches are to be played on the designated date at the designated venue this must be adhered to at all times unless as otherwise advised by the committee. 18. New teams are to pay a 5.00 non-returnable fee on joining the league. A bond of 30.00 is also payable which will be repayable at the end of the season provided that all the fixtures have been honored and that all financial dues have been fully paid. 19. Teams not attending the AGM will not be entered in any competition whatsoever for that immediate season. An addendum to this rule was added / voted at the 2009 AGM. That teams who did not attend the AGM were to be given 14 days grace and contacted by the committee. A second addendum to this rule was added /voted at the 2012 AGM that any decisions made at the AGM will be binding and final and teams will not be allowed to change any decisions. 20. Players may be registered at any time during the season. Once a player has played in one match, be it league or gallon, then that player cannot play for any other team that particular season. Page 3 of 8 Eccles & District Darts League 2012-2013 at the 2012 AGM that a player must have signed on a league result sheet prior to any competition draw to enable them to enter that competition. 21. In the event of 2 or more teams drawing for 1 st or 2 nd place in the league then play-offs will determine the final positions re champions / promotion / relegation. 22. It is the Away team s prerogative to decide if TVs are to be turned down if not granted the 2 League points may be claimed. 23. All correspondence delivered direct to pubs will be confirmed by signature as receipt of delivery and also telephone calls / Text may be made as confirmation. 24. A toss-up will take place in Team K.O. matches to ascertain which side has the darts in legs 1, 3, 5 and 7. If the match ends in a draw after 7 legs have been played, then a play-off will take place between the 2 players that played in the first drawn leg. With effect from 1 st September 2007, all TEAM and other K.O. competitions will be at NEUTRAL BAITS. 25. County / pro players - An addendum to this rule was added / voted at the 2012 AGM that maximum of Two County / pro players can play per team. 26. The Xmas raffle book purchases rule was removed as of 2012 AGM. 27. Team Sec s only to voice opinions & vote at meetings. A Secretary may represent 2 or more teams from the same pub in such cases only that one person may take part in the Secretary s K.O. competition. An addendum to this rule was added / voted at the 2012 AGM that a secretary must be registered as a secretary to play in the Secretaries K.O. competition. 28. This season there will be 2 teams relegated and 2 teams promoted, however the Committee have the authority to promote or demote more if required to help the league. 29. Players / markers to ensure that their mobile phones are switched off when matches are in progress. 30. No League / K.O. games are to be cancelled for any reason without the prior consent of the Committee 31. All trophies are the property of the league, and teams are liable for the expense of repairs or replacements, regardless of whatever competition
(singles, pairs or team) they were awarded for. An addendum to this rule was added / voted at the 2012 AGM that annual trophies awarded shall be returned back to the league at the last monthly secretaries meeting of the following season. 32. The Committee s decisions in all matters are final.an addendum to this rule was added at the 2012 AGM that rules not provided in these rules are final. 33. Registration Sheets & Fees due at Sept Secretary s Meeting. 34. Any player physically or verbally abusing any other player or a member of the committee will be banned from the league for a period of time at the Committee s discretion. 35. This rule was added at the 2012 AGM: That all competitions will be divided equally to all venues in the league. This is to make this rule fair on all venues and taking into consideration the sizes of the venues. The committee will make judgment on allocating the right venue for all matches. This excludes the presentation night which will be decided by a vote at the monthly meeting as advised by the committee on proposals submitted by the venues that can accommodate this event. B. Gallon Rules An addendum to these rules was added / voted at the 2011 AGM that the Gallon shall now only be played for just trophy at end of the season and no prize money. Most of the original rules have been removed to cover this. See below! 1. EACH GALLON LEAGUE TEAM WILL CONSIST OF 3 PLAYERS PER TEAM. 2. THE THREE NAMES FOR BOTH THE GALLON TEAMS MUST BE WRITTEN DOWN ON THE RESULT SHEET IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE DRAW FOR THE 7 PLAYERS IN THE MAIN LEAGUE MATCH IS COMPLETED. Page 4 of 8
3. 2 LEAGUE POINTS WILL BE AWARDED FOR A WIN, AND 1POINT PER TEAM IF THE RESULT IS A DRAWN MATCH. 4. ONLY REGISTERED PLAYERS MAY PLAY IN THE GALLON LEAGUE. 5. ANY INFRINGEMENT OF THESE RULES WILL MEAN THAT THE MATCH RESULT (AND THEREFORE 2 LEAGUE POINTS) WILL BE AWARDED AUTOMATICALLY TO THE NON-OFFENDING SIDE. 6. ALL OTHER RULES OF THE NORMAL 7 A SIDE COMPETITION WILL APPLY. 7. IN BOTH DIVISION 1 AND DIVISION 2 GALLON LEAGUES, IF THERE IS TIE AT THE END OF THE SEASON, THEN, A PLAY-OFF WILL TAKE PLACE TO DECIDE THE WINNERS AND THERE WILL BE NO RELEGATION OR PROMOTION IN THE GALLON LEAGUES. GALLON TEAMS WILL PLAY IN THE GALLON COMPETITION IN THE DIVISION THAT THEY ARE CURRENTLY SITUATED. 8. ONCE A PLAYER HAS PLAYED ONE GALLON MATCH FOR A TEAM THEN HE IS DEEMED TO BE A REGISTERED PLAYER OF THAT TEAM WHETHER HE HAS PLAYED A MATCH IN THE MAIN LEAGUE PROGRAMME OR NOT. C. Texting Result Section 1. League matches you will receive a text from the website at 10.15pm, it will have example with a four letter code which you will need to use in your reply. Please note the following steps 2 to 5 to reply back. 2. Both teams to reply. 3. (a) The home score (b) Leave a space (c) The away score Page 5 of 8

D. Cost Section 1. New teams are to pay a 5.00 non-returnable fee on joining the league.
