Please read below to make sure your family is ready for a sunny summer season! POOL PASSES This year we will be issuing pool passes. You will need to bring the pass with you and show it to
the guard to get in. This will ensure that only Harting Farm residents and paid members can access the pool. We are in the process of creating the passes and plan on having the passes available for pickup at the Harting Farm Clubhouse on Monday May 23rd from 6-8 pm. There will also be times during Memorial Day weekend where you can pick up your pass at the pool. To help make opening weekend as smooth as possible, it would be appreciated if you can pick up your pool pass on the 23rd. POOL MEMBERSHIP FORM Please note that a pool membership form was mailed to each household with the current HOA dues invoice. PLEASE fill out and return this form. We will be issuing pool tags for this upcoming summer and we have to have current household information on file for pool admission. If you have misplaced this form, there is another attached to this email. POOL PREPARATION We are asking for several volunteers to assist in last-minute pool preparations this Sunday (May 22 nd ) from 5-7 p.m. Projects include putting together tables and assembling ping pong tables. Please help out if you can so we can get
the pool season off to a fun start! NEW POOL ENTRANCE When the pool opens next week, take notice of the new fence and the new entrance to the pool. The entrance has moved down toward the baby pool. There are no more steps to climb to get to and from the pool entrance. We hope this provides easier access for everyone, especially parents bringing strollers and wagons to the pool. SPRING CLEAN-UP AND GARDENING It is that time of year when everyone should take a look at the curbside appeal of your home. It is
important that everyone keeps their property properly maintained as this adds to your own home value, as well as your neighbors, and enhances the value and appeal of the Harting Farm community. Simple things can make a big difference. Remember to trim trees and bushes, freshen up flower beds, cut your grass and edge your lawn regularly, remove trash, debris and leaves, store things in your backyard (out of sight), repair fences, store trash and recycle containers out of view from the road, touch-up peeling paint, paint trim on house and remove mildew from siding by pressure washing. Then sit back and enjoy the beautiful spring and summer weather! COMMUNITY DUMPSTER The community dumpster will be available June 17 th and 18 th. COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT UPDATES We are sure you have noticed the fence project has been completed along Jones Station Road. The fence gives the neighborhood nice curb appeal. We would like to thank Fence and Deck
Connection for their efforts. McDonough Farms also assisted us with repairs to the clubhouse siding. To continue with the upgrades to the community entrance, the HOA Board voted to have landscaping placed in the entrance median. McDonough Farms, the current landscaper for the neighborhood, will work with us on finding the right plants to place in that spot. Many of you have asked about the pond fountain. While the fountain was in for repairs, the repair company was sold. We are in the process of returning the fountain to the pond. HOA DUES HOA invoices for 2011 dues have been mailed. If you did not receive your invoice, please contact Rob Tedford at 410-544-1627 or rltedford@aol.com. We have some households past due for HOA fees in 2010 and will be contacting those households to rectify those outstanding invoices. Invoices are being resent to all outstanding residences in an effort to resolve. The HOA board is also contacting outstanding residences via phone. LEASH LAW
Per county ordinance, dogs must be kept on leashes. Please be considerate. NEW CLUBHOUSE EMAIL! For those interested in renting the clubhouse, you can now email your request to hf.clubhouse@gmail.com. Stefanie Ashdown and Mary Beth Tubiolo, clubhouse coordinators, will answer those emails and process requests. The rental fee is $75 for community members, and $150 for outside renters sponsored by a community member, with a $100 deposit required when reserved. If you rent the clubhouse, please be sure to take your trash with you. The county will no longer pick up trash at the clubhouse because it is not a residence. HARTING FARM HERON ONLY AVAILABLE VIA EMAIL To keep costs down, the HOA is only providing the Heron newsletter in email form. If you know of a neighbor not receiving the Heron or if you are having difficulty receiving yours, please contact Sarah Viscardi (sjv14@comcast.net; 410-544- 1147). We will soon be posting the newsletter on the Harting Farm website, hartingfarm.com. COMMUNITY DONATIONS The HOA recently donated a pool membership
