st. francis desales logo St. Francis DeSales High School logo Inspired by our building s cornerstone, the official school logo features a font specially created for us that echoes the cornerstone s lettering. The cross of Christ, modeled after the pectoral cross of St. Francis de Sales, stands high in the middle of the logo, symbolizing that He is at the center of our school. This is the same sterling silver cross worn by the Sisters of Visitation and the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, a cross precious in both its essence and quality of heritage.
This is the St. Francis DeSales High School logo. The mark represents the school as a whole and is to be used when producing items about the school. In this section you will learn how to use the logo and what you can and cannot do with the logo. The logo consists of two elements: the cross and the logotype. These elements are always represented together, never separately. *The cross can be used separately as a design graphic when it is not associated with the logo. Logo colors are as follows: Purple: Pantone 267 Grey: Pantone silver 877 or Pantone Cool grey 7 When deciding to use grey or silver, take into consideration your end product and cost. The logo should never be sized smaller than 1 in width. The logo should never be sized larger than 4 in width. Student Handbook When building a centered layout with the logo being the dominant element, make sure you place the copy further away from the logo. This will help keep the logo appearing centered when it truly is not. Keeping the text in a proportion to the logo that is equal or less will also help the piece appear centered. This is the one color option for the logo. It should always appear in pantone 267. There should not be a cool grey 7 or silver one color option of the logo. Here are two options for the black logo. One is all black, the other utilizes grey as a second color. This is the reverse option of the logo. This logo should be used when the logo is placed on dark colors such as the pantone 267 and black.

This is the St Francis DeSales Student Life logo. This logo is to be used for students, sports and clubs related to the high school. There are three variations to this logo as shown below. The full logo consists of three elements: the capital D, the Stallion and logotype. The Stallion D consists of only the capital D and the stallion.the stallion is the only element that can appear by itself. The stallion should appear whenever possible in pantone 267. This is the black and white option of the stallion. This is for use on items that can only be printed in black and white. The stallion should appear in cool grey 7 whenever placed on a dark background.
If placing logo on black fabric, use the white trim logo. For readability, make sure that the purple thread is not too dark for the black. placement options Text placement options For T-shirts, polo-shirts, uniforms and anything else the student life logo will be applied on there are several options for copy placement. The Stallion D can have copy placed to the right, or below. Another option is to place the sport or club name above the logo with name and position below. Copy should not be place to the left or all on top of the logo to keep the logo the primary focus. The Principal s Seal illustrates the work of St. Francis, who inspired others to Catholicism through his writings. It also exemplifies the verse of English author Edward Bulwer-Lytton, who said The pen is mightier than the sword. The Principal s Seal may only be used on official school documents. typography To keep everything consistent font usage must be the same. Here are the approved fonts for your use. Perpetua and Franklin Gothic are the two primary fonts. Perpetua can be used on print and web, Franklin Gothic can be used in print, web and anything with the Student Life logo. Zapfino is strictly an accent font that can be used on print or web items. If working on the web and fonts are used as html and not an image, utilize Times Roman and Arial instead. Collegiate and Blaze are specifically designated to be used on anything regarding Student Life only. (Blaze is only to be used with the collegiate font in type solutions and not placed with the Student Life logo. It should also only be used on fully spelled words and not initials.) These fonts can be used on uniforms, T-shirts, banners and anything else that the Stallion D is placed on or by themselves. Here are some examples of how the type can work on items like uniforms, t-shirts, posters, banners and any other item that will not have the Student Life logo.
