Dear Friends, The Gymnastics Federation of Portugal and the Clube de Atividades Gimnicas de Ponta Delgada, have the honour to welcome all participating federations to the 3 rd Edition of the Aerobic Gymnastics FIG World C, Category B Event, that will be held in Ponta Delgada City, S. Miguel Island, Açores, Portugal, from 8 th to 13 rd of May 2013. Aerobic Gymnastics FIG World C Workplan 3 General Judges Rules Specific Judges Rules for Aerobic Gymnastics Code of Points 2013-2016 Medical Organization of the Official FIG Competitions Doping Control Rules FIG Media Rules FIG Apparatus Norms FIG Advertising and Publicity Rules Regulations for Awards Ceremonies and subsequent decisions of the FIG Executive Committee 8 - FIG Official Representative The official FIG representative appointed for the competition to act as President of the Serior Jury is Mr. Sergio Garcia, Member of the FIG Aerobic Gymnastics Technical Committee. 9 - Competition jury: The Jury will be composed by: 1 Chair of Judge s Panel; 2 Difficulty Judges; 4 Artistic Judges; 4 Execution Judges; 1 Time Judge; 2 Line Judges. Each participating Federation must provide a minimum of 1 judge with a valid FIG Brevet for the current cycle (2013-16). Each participating federation must provide minimum one judge Category I, II or III. Failure to do so, or if a participating federation send a judge with category 4 (instead of category I,II or III) will result in a fine of Swiss francs 2 000.- to be paid to the OMF. Member Federations who have only Cat.4 judges are allowed to send a Cat. 4 Judge who may be used as Time or Line Judge only. 10 - Apparatus splied: Gymnova Aerobic Floor, FIG Certified. 11 - Age Gro and Categories: FIG World C Competition: Seniors / 18 + years / Categories: IW, IM, MP, TR and GR. 12 - Participation: The participation is limited to 2 per country in each category. Only senior gymnasts in good standing with the correct age and holding a valid FIG license may participate. The organizing committee will be responsible for checking the validity of the gymnasts licenses. No gymnast will be accepted without a valid FIG license at the deadline of the nominative registration. The maximum size of the invited delegations is as follows: Head of delegation 1 Team Manager (if 4 and more units) 1 (if 8 and more units) 2 Coaches (if 1 unit) 1 (if 2 to 7 units) 2 (8 and more units) 3 Gymnasts (2 per category) 26 Doctor 1 Physiotherapist (if 1 to 3 units) 1 (if 4 and more units) 2 Judges 2 A unit being an individual gymnast, a pair, a trio or a gro. 13 - Competition Format: The Competition consists of Qualifications and Finals in all 5 categories. Qualifications: Participation is limited to 2 per country in each category. Finals: The top eight gymnasts per category from the qualifications qualify for the Finals. In addition, if the Organizing Member Federation has not qualified in any category, it may nominate one participation in max. 1 category of its choice. Maximum participation in the finals is therefore 8+1 participants in one category and 8 in the other four categories. 3

The coaches and gymnasts should bring their own 3 rd CDs. d) : This area will be the main competition floor podium, using the routine music previously send by e-mail to the OC until 23 rd of April by the e-mail: wc-azores-music@sapo.pt e) The Official Opening Ceremony Rehearsal is compulsory for all nations with the presence of the Head of Delegation, Coaches and maximum participation of 12 gymnasts by nation. 16 - Music procedure: In order to simplify the management of the music and to limit the technical problems of wiring for sound during the competitions, the OC wishes to reduce the variety of the different musical sports (CD, key USB) and use only the numerical sport. Each music will be classified and indexed in a file on the computers of wiring for sound by respecting the flow schedule in order to be able to use them quickly and effectively. All the music used must be send to wc-azores-music@sapo.pt until 23 rd April 2012. The OC wishes to receive the gymnasts music in MP3 format. Each music will have to contain following information: The name of the nation (official abbreviation of the country); The first and last name of the competitor/s; The category (IM, IW, MP, TR, GR); Example: OPEN_POR_ SARDINHA_Sara_IW1_ mp3 4
Aerobic Gymnastics FIG World C Workplan 5 *Although, all teams should bring their own 2 CDs for each routine with the identification of the Nation, Gymnasts Names, Category, Age gro, music time, plus 1 CD for the sessions before the competition! 17 Awards: For the FIG World C Competitions there will be prize money awards. The Prize Money, free of any deductible taxes, will be distributed in Swiss Francs as follows: For Tournaments Category B: Total CHF 9 550.- Individual Men Gold 500.- 7 x 850.- 5 950. Individual Women Silver 250.- Mixed Pairs Bronze 100.- Trios Gros Gold 300.- 5 x 600.- 3 000.- Silver 200.- Bronze 100.- IMPORTANT: No prize money, medals and World Ranking Lists points will be given, if there are less than 4 participants per category. A trophy will be handed to the winners in each category; For the top 3 competitors in each category medals and diplomas will be presented; Diplomas of participation will be presented for all official members of all delegations; 18 Accommodation: a)the official hotel is Hotel Açores Atlântico, located 7 minutes walking to the Competition Hall: Teatro Micaelense, Centro Cultural e de Congressos de Ponta Delgada. b) All participating federations must pay for their accommodation costs. At the time of the definitive to the OC. Entries without the payment will be considered as invalid and will be refused. 19 Transports: a) The delegations have to cover by themselves the costs for their international transportation. b) The OC will provide free of charge transport to all delegation members booked at the official hotel, from International Airport of Ponta Delgada on the official arrival (8 th of May 2013). There will be no transport service between the official Hotel and the competition hall. c) For those delegations that don t book hotel accommodation trough the OC, the official transportation service will be provided at the cost of 50 EUR/person. 20 - Medical services: The Host Federation, the Organizing Committee and the FIG will not be held responsible for any Liabilities in case of accidents, illness, repatriation and the like. The FIG Technical Regulations (Section 1, article 12.10) foresee that all participating Federations are responsible for making their own arrangements to have the necessary valid insurance coverage against illness, accidents and for repatriation for all the members of their Delegation (except for gymnasts and judges). The OC will verify the insurance and FIG Licenses on arrival of the delegation members (e.g. cover note or photocopy of the valid policy). During the Trainings and Competitions the OC will provide medical services. An appointed person will be available during those times in the medical room at Teatro Micaelense. 21 Accreditation: The accreditation will be at Teatro Micaelense Centro Cultural e de Congressos Address: Largo S. Insurances for each member of the delegation. FIG Gymnast Licences Card National Flag and Anthem. Two CDs for each routine with the Country, Category/Age gro and Names of the competitor/s. 1 CD for List of difficulty elements for each routine. To be ready to fill a list for the order of your competitors during the time for the s. During the Orientation Meeting detailed and dated information will be given to all nations.
