Parade of Nations The Opening Ceremony and Parade of Nations will take place on Fri 30 May at 19:30 at Praza da Pedreira. All the NF are invited to come and join the ceremony, and are requested to bring a country flag.

Check-in procedures Transition Area 4 Gates: (1) ESP / (2) GBR / 3 (USA and CAN) / 4 (OTHER COUNTRIES) Bike check (Bike mechanic available) Uniform Check Helmet check Timing chip, to be worn on the athletes ankle. Athletes will pick up the timing chips before the competition, during their check-in procedure. To add any equipment to the bike, you must obtain approval from the Race Referee up until 10 minutes after the end of the Athletes Briefing.

Advice of Penalties How do you know if you need to serve a penalty? The official will do the following Sound a whistle or horn Show a YELLOW CARD Call your number Advise you of the PENALTY If you are shown a RED CARD, you may be disqualified
Penalties Stop in the next Penalty Box and must stay there for 1 minute for sprint distance/ 2 minutes for standard distance It is the athletes responsibility to stop in the next Penalty Box. Failing to do this will result in disqualification. A second drafting offence will lead to a disqualification

Run course 2 1 lap = 2.5 km (Sprint 1x2.5km, Std 2x2.5km) Aid stations: 2 per lap For locations see the map Water Only Discard plastic cups off course Congestion in finish area: Go to recovery area. You will find a first water station inmediatly after the finish, and then go straight ahead to the Sports Center, where the Recovery, Massage and Bag Drop Area is allocated

Medical Procedures Only LOC Medical Staff area allowed in the medical area. Every NF accredited doctor MUST have completed the proof of medical license and proof of malpractice insurance! The NF accredited doctor is allowed in the medical area only when an athlete from their country is in the area.
Results Results will be uploaded live at the ITU official website www.triathlon.org Also live coverage of the race will be displayed through the web page. All the Results information will be posted and distributed to the Team Leaders at the Information Centre (Pazo) and Recovery Area by the sports pavillion. PROTEST & APPEALS Standard procedures will be followed according to the ITU Competition Rules.
Closing Ceremony Pontevedra LOC is preparing a fantastic and different closing ceremony with a concert, which will include the handover of the ITU flag to the city of Adelaide.
