PACKET PICK-UP All 2016 Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon participants must attend the Health & Fitness Expo to pick up their race packets. Individuals will not be able to pick-up race packets on behalf of others. Participants must bring a valid form of ID to pick up their race packet which includes: Race Bib with Timing Chip Participant Technical Shirt Clear Plastic Event-Issued Participant Bag Official Race Program RACE BIBS MUST BE PICKED UP AT THE HEALTH & FITNESS EXPO UNLESS YOU HAVE PURCHASED THE PREMIER RACE DAY HOSPITALITY PACKAGE.

E. TIMING CHIP ChronoTrack B-TAG TIMING SYSTEM The 2016 Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon will be timed using the ChronoTrack B-Tag Timing System. ChronoTrack B-TAG TIMING SYSTEM The ChronoTrack B-Tag Timing System features a disposable RFID tag attached to the back of your race bib (see picture below). Please adhere to the following instructions in order to receive an accurate time: 1. Wear your bib and ensure it is clearly visible on the front of your torso. 2. Do not fold or wrinkle your bib or you risk breaking your timing chip. 3. Pin your bib in all four corners so the timing chip stays flat. 4. Do not cover your bib with jackets, water bottles, etc so as not to block the timing chip. 5. Be sure the ID# on your B-Tag matches your race bib# prior to leaving the Expo. RACE BIB Please complete the medical information on the back of the bib. Do not allow anyone else to run with your bib. If somebody other than yourself uses your bib, you and the party running with your bib will both be disqualified from the event. To attach, use the four safety pins provided and pin each corner of the bib onto the FRONT of your shirt, making sure the number is clearly visible at all times. ARRIVE EARLY, ARRIVE EARLY, ARRIVE EARLY!!! ALL PARTICIPANTS SHOULD PLAN TO ARRIVE 90 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE START OF THE RACE. F. PRE-RACE SHUTTLES SECURITY CHECKPOINTS Participants who are riding a shuttle to Dodger Stadium (Santa Monica, Union Station, and Downtown LA Hotels) will be required to go through a security checkpoint screening prior to boarding the shuttle. All bags will be screened by security personnel. Participants must use the clear plastic event-issued Participant Bag for carried gear. Non-transparent bags, backpacks, or suitcases will not be accepted under any circumstances. DOWNTOWN LA OFFICIAL HOTEL SHUTTLES Participants that booked a Downtown LA hotel through the Official Hotel Reservation Center can board a Downtown LA Hotel Shuttle. Upon check-in to the hotel, participants should request a shuttle wristband. Shuttles run from 4:00 am 6:00 am and pick-up from the following locations: 712 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles 500 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles SANTA MONICA The Santa Monica Shuttles pick up in front of Santa Monica City Hall (1685 Main St, Santa Monica, CA). Shuttles run from 3:00 am 5:30 am. Participants with shuttle reservations are to show up at their scheduled reservation in order to board a pre-race shuttle. Shuttle reservations will be printed on the race bib. Participants may also bring a confirmation email with the reserved shuttle time in order to board. Only participants with race bibs or confirmation emails are allowed to board shuttles. Runners who purchased the Premier Race Day Hospitality package should print their confirmation email and present it at the shuttle entrance.

UNION STATION The Union Station Shuttles pick up from Patsaouras Transit Plaza behind Union Station (801 Vignes St, Los Angeles, CA). Shuttles run from 5:00 am 6:00 am. Participants with shuttle reservations are to show up at their scheduled reservation in order to board a pre-race shuttle. Shuttle reservations will be printed on the race bib. Participants may also bring a confirmation email with the reserved shuttle time in order to board. Only participants with race bibs or confirmation emails are allowed to board. Runners who purchased the Premier Race Day Hospitality package should print their confirmation email and present it at the shuttle entrance. THERE IS NO SHUTTLE TRANSPORTATION FROM THE FINISH LINE TO UNION STATION AFTER THE RACE. RUNNER PICK UP ZONE This year, the City of Santa Monica will be providing a designated runner pick-up area to allow family members and App-based ride hailing services (e.g. Uber & Lyft) to conveniently pick up runners after the Marathon without the need to park. The runner pick-up zone will be along the East side of 5th Street between Broadway and Wilshire Blvd. To access this area, take I-10 West and exit 5th Street. Continue past Colorado Ave and Broadway. Three blocks of loading zone will be provided on the right hand side of the street. To return to the freeway, turn right at Santa Monica Blvd, Arizona Ave, or Wilshire Blvd and then right at Lincoln Blvd. G. PRE-RACE PARKING SANTA MONICA The City of Santa Monica has designated several parking lots for participants and spectators. Parking ranges from $10 - $20 and can be purchased directly from the City of Santa Monica. For specific directions about designated lots, please review the pre-paid parking receipt. For questions about reserving a parking space online, parking refunds, or Santa Monica parking lots, please call 866-330-7275. H. DRIVING TO DODGER STADIUM Vehicle access to Dodger Stadium is ONLY permitted through the Golden State Gate (1850 Academy Rd, Los Angeles, CA), accessible via I-5. All other Dodger Stadium parking gates will be closed to vehicular traffic. DROP-OFF If you are getting dropped off at Dodger Stadium, you must enter through the Golden State Gate, accessible via I-5. Use the LEFT lanes leading into the Golden State Gate and proceed to the Runner Drop-Off Area in Parking Lot 4. PARKING If you are parking at Dodger Stadium, you must enter through the Golden State Gate, accessible via I-5. Use the RIGHT lanes leading into the Golden State Gate and proceed to the Runner Parking Area in Parking Lot 3. THERE IS NO SHUTTLE TRANSPORTATION FROM THE FINISH LINE TO DODGER STADIUM AFTER THE RACE. THE DOWNTOWN AND SUNSET GATES WILL NOT BE OPENED TO VEHICLES.

All participants are subject to search and all bags will be screened by security personnel. Participants must use the clear plastic event-issued Participant Bag for carried gear. Non-transparent bags, backpacks, or suitcases will not be accepted at UPS Gear Check under any circumstances. Participants who are riding a shuttle to Dodger Stadium (Santa Monica, Union Station, and Downtown LA Hotels) will be required to go through a security checkpoint screening prior to boarding their shuttle. Participants will NOT have to go through a second security check at Dodger Stadium. SEEDED CORRALS The Seeded Corrals (A, B, C, D and E) will open at 5:00 am. There are separate entrances for each corral. Special race bib designation is required for entrance into the Seeded Corrals. Runners may move back to a slower corral, but not forward to a faster corral. The Seeded Corrals close at 6:40 am. Seeded corral placement closed on December 1 st. Corral changes will not be made at the Expo. OPEN CORRAL The Open Corral is a self-seeded corral for race participants not already assigned to a Start Corral. Upon entering the corral, participants should look for the large pace per mile signs and line up according to expected race pace.

Your finish time will be the net time from when you cross the starting line, not the gun time. CLIF Bar PACE TEAM The CLIF Bar Pace Team will help set the pace on race day. Pace team leaders will run according to the following finish time goals and will start in the corresponding corral listed: Corral B 3:05, 3:15, 3:25, 3:35, 3:45 Corral C 4:00 Corral D 4:15, 4:30 Corral E 4:45 Open Corral 4:30, 4:45, 5:00, 5:30 Visit the CLIF Bar booth (#401) at the Health & Fitness Expo to meet your pacer and sign up for a group. Pace times are limited to start corral assignments above. Your start corral assignment may not allow you direct access to a particular Pace Team. UPS GEAR CHECK Participants looking to check gear must use the clear plastic event-issued Participant Bag provided to all participants at the Health & Fitness Expo. Non-transparent bags, backpacks, or suitcases will not be allowed through the Security Checkpoints (CamelBak and similar hydration devices will be allowed but must be searched by security personnel). UPS Gear Check is located in Parking Lot K at Dodger Stadium and will open at 5:00 am. UPS Gear Check closes at 6:30 am. All gear check must be checked by 6:30 am to allow ample time for gear to be transported to the Finish Line. Participants will be able to retrieve checked gear at the Finish Line in Santa Monica within the Runner Secured Finish Zone on Ocean Ave, just south of Arizona Ave. Do not check valuables as the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon is not responsible for loss or damage. PRE-RACE FOOD Water, Gatorade Endurance, CLIF SHOT Energy Bloks, bananas, and bagels will be available in Parking Lot G at Dodger Stadium near the Right Field Pavilion. RESTROOMS Restroom facilities will be available to participants inside Dodger Stadium on the Field Level concourse and in both the Right Field and Left Field Pavilions. Portable toilets will also be available in Parking Lot K adjacent to UPS Gear Check, in Parking Lot 6 adjacent to the Shuttle Drop-Off Area, and in Parking Lot 6 adjacent to Security Checkpoint #2. CHARITY SUITES & HOSPITALITY Charity Runners with Charity Suites designation on their race bib are able to access their Charity Suite on the Club Level of Dodger Stadium. Runners should make their way past the Right Field Pavilion toward Parking Lot J to access the stairways that lead to the Club Level. Runners must show their bib designation to enter the Club Level. WHEELCHAIR & HANDCYCLE ATHLETES Wheelchair and Handcycle Athlete Tents are located in Parking Lot G just north of the Left Field Pavilion. Athletes should plan to arrive no later than 6:00 am in order to stage properly at the Start Line. L. COURSE AMENITIES AID STATIONS There are 22 Aid Stations located across the course at approximately every mile from Mile 2 Mile 25. All Aid Stations will feature both Water and Gatorade Endurance Formula (Lemon Lime). At all Aid Stations, electrolyte tables will be positioned first followed by water. Participants are advised to continue moving through an Aid Station if the first tables are crowded in order to conveniently obtain fluids. CLIF SHOT ENERGY GELS CLIF SHOT Energy Gels will be available to participants in two locations, at Miles 12 and 19. The following flavors will be available on course: Razz, Vanilla, Citrus Caffeine, and Mocha Caffeine. MEDICAL STATIONS KECK MEDICINE OF USC Medical Stations will be located at all even miles beginning at Mile 6, the Finish Line and Family Reunion.

RESTROOMS Portable restrooms are located along the course at every water station and are placed after the Aid Stations. CLOCKS Clocks will be placed at every mile and will provide the elapsed event time (gun time) from the start at 6:55 am. MILE/KM MARKERS Markers will be positioned at every mile to denote the elapsed distance from the start of the race. Markers will also be positioned to designate each 5 kilometer segment of the race course. RUNNING A 15:00+ MINUTE PER MILE PACE The Marathon course will be closed to vehicular traffic during the event for 6 hours, 30 minutes after the start of the race, after the last runner has crossed the start line. Participants that maintain a 15:00 minute per mile pace will complete the race under the finish line structure with streets closed. Participants keeping a pace slower than 15:00 minutes per mile should be aware that the course will reopen to vehicular traffic on a rolling basis. At this point, participants who wish to continue must leave the roadway, run on the sidewalk and assume the role of a pedestrian obeying all traffic laws and signals. Late Water Stations will be available at miles 15, 17, 19, & 23 for participants who proceed at a pace in excess of 15:00 per mile. Sufficient Finish Line personnel will remain on duty until 2:30 pm (6:30 finish time) to record times for runners, hand out medals and to provide medical assistance and refreshments. Those finishing after 6 hours, 30 minutes will be required to finish the Marathon in Palisades Park, adjacent to the Finish Line. ENTERTAINMENT AND CHEER ZONES More than 100 cheering stations and bands will line the course to support, motivate, and entertain the runners and spectators alike. radio operator (located next to each mile marker) so that your name and bib number can be recorded and transmitted back to the Family Reunion area. Shuttle Vans will pick-up runners who are unable to complete the Marathon starting at the Mile 7 Water Station, continuing through Mile 23 and transport them back to the Runner Drop Off location in Santa Monica at the intersection of Main St and Olympic Drive. Please note that Drop/Downed Runner Vans operate on a loop route and you may be required to wait for the next van to arrive. WHEELCHAIR & HANDCYCLE ATHLETES Wheelchair athletes will be provided two race bibs and a helmet number. The race bib with the B-Tag MUST be affixed to the front of the participant s body so it can be read easily and the second race bib to the front of the chair. It is strongly advised that all participants wear an ANSI or Snell approved helmet when competing. RACE RULES Please keep in mind that pursuant to rules dictated by USA Track & Field, anyone attempting to participate in the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon using bicycles, strollers, skateboards, inline skates or roller skates will be disqualified. Any competitor who has been found, by the referee, to have gained an unfair advantage by receiving assistance or by intentionally shortening the route of the race ( cutting the course ) shall be immediately disqualified. M. CHARITY RELAY AT THE EXPO Charity Relay runners will be issued bibs in the 90,000 range. Relay partners are assigned corresponding race bibs. For example, partner #1 will be issued bib# 90,500 while partner #2 will be issued bib# 91,500. The last three digits of the bib# must match. If you and your partner s bib numbers do not match as presented above, please visit the Solutions desk at the Expo. The order in which the bibs are used does not matter as long as the partners have corresponding bibs (Leg 1 runner can have bib 91,500 does not have to be 90,500). Please do not switch bib numbers. DROPPING OUT OF THE RACE If you need to drop out, please report to the nearest Aid Station or amateur

N. FIRST LEG RUNNERS PRE-RACE First leg runners should report to Dodger Stadium following the information listed under Getting to the Start Line. All first leg runners are to self-seed within the Open Corral. Gear Check will be available for first leg runners. Look for the Relay Gear Check truck adjacent to UPS Gear Check. Gear Check closes at 6:30 am. RELAY EXCHANGE ZONE The Relay Exchange Zone is located on Sunset Blvd between Ogden Dr and Orange Grove Ave. First leg runners should look for the yellow signs leading up to the Relay Exchange Zone in order to get to the left side of the street and into the Exchange chute. Make sure your race bib is on the front of your torso and visible so the spotters can call out your bib# and your partner can be ready to make the exchange. AFTER THE EXCHANGE After the exchange, Leg 1 runners should make a left on Orange Grove Ave to collect their Relay Medal, mylar blanket, and post-race food and fluid. If you checked gear at Dodger Stadium, you will be able to collect your gear at the corner of Orange Grove Ave and De Longpre Ave. Gear not collected by 11:30 am will be taken back to the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon office. Participants can call the office to collect gear the week after the race. POST-RACE SHUTTLES Post-race shuttles to take Relay participants to the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon Finish Line in Santa Monica will stage on De Longpre Ave. The last shuttle will leave at 11:30 am. O. SECOND LEG RUNNERS PRE-RACE Second leg runners have the option of taking pre-race shuttles from Santa Monica to the Relay Exchange Zone. The shuttles pick-up in front of Santa Monica City Hall (1685 Main St, Santa Monica, CA) at 7:00 am and 7:30 am. Participants do not need a reservation as long as they have their race bib. There is no Gear Check for second leg runners. Second leg runners can also get dropped off directly at the Relay Exchange Zone. The Runner Drop-Off Area is located at the intersection of Orange Grove Ave and De Longpre Ave. Participants should plan to arrive by 8:30 am. There is no transportation from Dodger Stadium to the Relay Exchange Zone. RELAY EXCHANGE ZONE The Relay Exchange Zone is located on Sunset Blvd between Ogden Dr and Orange Grove Ave. Second leg runners should know the approximate time the first leg runner will take to run 12.9 miles. As the first leg runner approaches the Exchange Zone, the announcer will call out the last three digits of the first runner s bib. The last three digits will match the second leg runner s bib. POST-RACE Second leg runners will complete their leg at the Finish Line of the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon. Participants should continue walking to pick up their Relay Medal, mylar blanket, and post-race food and fluid. The Runner Secured Finish Zone is located on Ocean Ave and stretches from California Ave to Santa Monica Blvd. Only participants completing the race will be allowed into the Runner Secured Finish Zone. Once you leave the Runner Secured Finish Zone, re-entry will not be permitted. P. FINISH LINE The Finish Line of the 2016 Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon is located at the intersection of Ocean Ave and California Ave. The Finish Line is open for 6 hours, 30 minutes after the start of the race (approximately 2:30 pm). Spectator access will be closed on Ocean Ave from California Ave to Santa Monica Blvd. Palisades Park will also be closed to spectators from Washington Ave to Santa Monica Blvd. Any spectator wishing to watch their runner cross the Finish Line will need to station themselves on Ocean Ave north of California Ave. Spectators are strongly encouraged to meet their runners at the Finish Festival located at the intersection of 2nd Street and Santa Monica Blvd or the Family Reunion Area located on Ocean Ave between Santa Monica Blvd and Broadway Ave. Because of the influx of participants and spectators in Santa Monica on race day, we strongly recommend making a Finish Line plan of where to meet family and friends prior to race day.

Q. POST-RACE checked at Dodger Stadium. The Runner Secured Finish Zone is located on Ocean Ave and stretches from California Ave to Santa Monica Blvd. Only participants completing the Marathon will be allowed into the Runner Secured Finish Zone. Once you leave the Runner Secured Finish Zone, reentry will not be permitted. UPS GEAR CHECK Participants that check gear at Dodger Stadium prior to the race will be able to retrieve their gear at UPS Gear Check located in the Runner Secured Finish Zone on Ocean Ave north of Arizona Ave. Gear Check not collected by 2:30 pm when the Finish Line closes will be transported back to the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon office. Participants can call the office to collect gear the week after the race. FINISH FESTIVAL The Finish Festival is home to the Angel City Brewery Beer Garden and other fun entertainment and giveaways! The Finish Festival is located at the intersection of 2nd Street and Santa Monica Blvd and is open from 9:00 am 3:00 pm. Once runners exit the Runner Secured Finish Zone, they should make a left and head east on Santa Monica Blvd toward the Finish Festival. FINISHING THE RACE The final approach to the Finish Line on Ocean Ave south of Washington Ave will be closed to all spectators and non-credentialed public. Runners in their final approach must CLEARLY display their bibs on the front of their body. Any runners that do not have a race bib, bandits, will be immediately pulled off-course prior to crossing the Finish Line. ANGEL CITY BREWERY BEER GARDEN All runners and spectators 21 years of age and older are eligible to receive a complimentary beer (wristband required)! Celebrate at the Angel City Brewery Beer Garden (open from 10:00 am 2:00 pm) located within the Finish Festival. Participants and spectators of legal age can pick up their complimentary beer garden wristband at the Health & Fitness Expo at the Beer Garden counter adjacent to the Information counters (ID required). Participants can also pick up a wristband at the Beer Garden on race day (ID required). Additional beer will be sold on-site. Please do not attempt to cross the Finish Line with friends, family (including children), or pacers as they will be immediately pulled offcourse by security personnel. RUNNER SECURED FINISH ZONE Once participants cross the Finish Line, they will be directed into the Runner Secured Finish Zone on Ocean Ave. Participants will be able to pick up their Finisher Medal, mylar blanket, post-race food and fluid, and any gear

SECURED EVENT ZONE Runners will exit the Runner Secured Finish Zone directly into the Secured Event Zone. The Secured Event Zone is open to the public and is home to the Family Reunion area and the Massage Tent. There will be three designated security checkpoints into the Secured Event Zone: 2nd Street/Santa Monica Blvd 2nd Street/Broadway Ave Colorado Ave/Ocean Ave Access to the Secured Event Zone is only permitted through one of these designated checkpoints. Anyone looking to enter the Secured Event Zone is subject to search. All bags are subject to screening. It is strongly recommended that spectators opt not to bring bags to the Finish Line to help maintain the efficient flow of spectators into the Secured Event Zone. FAMILY REUNION Make arrangements to meet your family and friends at one of the letters of the alphabet along Ocean Ave between Santa Monica Blvd and Broadway St. MASSAGE TENT Participants are welcome to indulge in a post-race complimentary massage at the Massage Tent. The Massage Tent is located on Ocean Ave between Santa Monica Blvd and Broadway St. DOWNTOWN LA OFFICIAL HOTEL SHUTTLES Participants that booked their Downtown LA hotel through the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon Official Hotel Reservation Center can board a Downtown LA Hotel Shuttle to take them back to Downtown LA. Upon check-in to their hotel, participants should request a shuttle wristband. Post-race shuttles run from 11:00 am 4:00 pm and pick-up in front of Santa Monica City Hall (1685 Main St, Santa Monica, CA).
