USEF/Princeton Show Jumping Rules & Regulations 1. The right is reserved to cancel, combine or divide any classes if entries so warrant. In addition, the right is reserved to refuse any entry before the start of the competition without being liable for compensation. 2. All Prize money will be distributed 30%-22%-15%-12%-11%-10% unless otherwise specified. 3. Championships will be offered in all sections and be calculated at 10-6-4-2-1-.5 for hunters. s will be 10-6-4-2-1-.5 except the final class will be 15-9-6-3-2-1 with the bonus class breaking all ties. Championships will not be awarded in.70,.80,.90 and 1.00m divisions. 4. Prize money will be applied to the exhibitor s outstanding account if any, or mailed to the exhibitor as listed on the entry blank within 30 days of the close of the show provided a W9 has been completed and is on file in the show office showing the taxpayer for each horse. Checks void after 60 days. The Horse Show will not stop payment or duplicate awards for any lost check. 5. A 4% convenience fee will be charged for credit card transactions. 6. Refunds: No refunds on stalls after the closing date. If a horse becomes injured or ill prior to being shown in any class, entry fees will be refunded upon receipt of a Veterinarian s certificate. An office-processing fee of $25 per legitimately excused animal will be deducted from the refund. All certificates, to be considered, must be received by show management before the closing of the show. No credit will be given for classes scratched after it has started. 7. Course diagrams will be posted at least one hour prior to each class. Main Show 300 x 200. Main Warm Up : 220 x 200. 2: 275 x 160. 3: 240 x 160 sand footing. 2 and 3 Warm Up: 200 x 160. Footing in ring 1, 2 and warm ups is the highest International Standard. Full drainage with the very best sand and GGT geotextile throughout. 8. Temporary stabling of canvas construction with doors available. No initial bedding provided. No wiring of any kind allowed in the stabling areas. A late fee will be charged, if available, for stalls reserved after the closing date on the stall reservation form. Stalls may not be shared or transferred. See stall form for fees. 9. Riders must be properly attired for all classes. Jackets are required in all classes unless waived due to inclement weather. Protective headgear is required at all times when mounted on the show grounds. It must meet or exceed ASTM standards for equestrian use, carry the SEI tag, and be properly fitted with harness secured. Formal attire (white breeches and riding jacket) for Classics and Grand Prix. 10. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have CURRENT MEMBERSHIPS and measurement cards for any and all classes, which require the same. 11. ENTRIES CLOSE by the date marked on the entry blanks. All entry & stall fees must be paid by the closing date of entries to not incur a late fee. No entry will be considered valid unless accompanied by full payment. Open checks will be filled in for all stalls ordered. No stalls will be reserved without payment under ANY circumstances. 12. Numbers will not be issued until a signed, open check is lodged with the horse show secretary and all USEF membership cards have been seen & verified. 15. Horses shown in a class without being entered will pay double the class entry fee. 16. Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF rulebook will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. 17. $150 charge for non-competing horses 18. There will be a $50 ship in fee. No ship in fee for horses entered in Outreach only classes. 19. A $50 office fee will be charged. Office fee is indicated on entry form. No office fee for horses entered in Outreach only classes. 20. A fee of $250 will be charged to exhibitor s account for any returned check. 21. Should any question or dispute arise not provided for in these rules, the same shall be referred to show management whose decision shall be final. 22. In accordance with GR1301.7: Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. 23. Breaking ties for other than first place will be done by time taken in the first round. 24. 15 needed to run the Grand Prix. All other classes with prize money need 10 to fill. 25. Riders must be present, as requested, for all presentations, to be eligible for awards. 26. Sharps containers will be available in the stabling area.
