It varries from 3x15 to 3x20 minutes with a short break in between to make the ice A violent sport : NOT AT ALL For the youngest players physical contact is not allowed but will be a part of the game when they are getting older. Support is crucial! To guarantee the existence of ice hockey in Luxembourg and to have a sound and stable base we need strong supporters YOU CAN BE ONE OF THEM! ð The cost of our equipment The players need a complete set of good quality equipment to be protected on the ice. This is a big investment and some families struggle with the expense. The puck (made out of 160 gr of hard rubber) can reach a speed up to and over a 100km/h and the sharp steel blades of the skates is altogether the reason why you need to be well protected, especially if you are a goalkeeper. For this reasons the club has equipment to lend for the first try- out sessions. ð Transport costs To be able to offer an interesting championship, Huskies has joined the French league (group north- east) with travels to places such as Dijon, Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Besancon. To go to these games we rent a bus each time. WE GO AS A TEAM WE PLAY AS A TEAM
ð Cost of trainers To be able to give our young players a fundamental base and good values, our club has a hired professional trainer. He is assisted by a number of volunteers i.e. table de marque representatives and off- ice coaches. ð Rent of ice To guarantee two to three training sessions per week for each age group and the championship games, on top of the ice offered by the City of Luxembourg, we have to rent more ice time to cover our needs. We also need to cover costs like, equipment, courses, insurances and so on. We hope that you will find the possibility to help the Huskies
