**Division description and player s age on April 30 th, 2013 determines division play** PLEASE NOTE NEW THIS YEAR Majors (ages 10-12) Highly competitive Minor A (ages 8-10) Competitive, advanced instructional play, player pitch, learning bunting, stealing bases, hitting, base running, pitching, positions, respect to umpires, coaches and teammates in preparation for Major Division Minor B (ages 7-9) competitive, instruction focuses, player pitch, learning hitting, base running, pitching, positions, intro to stealing bases, respect to umpires, coaches and teammates in preparation for Minor A Division. Rookie (ages 5-6) Coach pitch instructional games, learning batting, positions on the field and safety in and out of the dug-out. All 5 year olds MUST have played one season of t-ball. T-ball (ages 4-5) Instructional, 30 minute instruction learning batting and positions on the field and 30 minute games. To be played on Saturday. PLAYER EVALUATIONS/Team Selection: Major Division: Returning players stay with the team he or she played on last season. New players are picked in a pre-determined order after evaluations are held in early February. Registrations will be accepted until the day of tryouts. Tryout dates will be announced at a later date and those registered will be notified by email or phone. The tryout dates will also be posted on the league website. Minor Divisions: Teams are picked based on player evaluations to be held in early February. ALL players will be evaluated. Any player that has played at the Major level, by little league rules cannot play in the minors. Any player not registered by the date of tryouts will be placed on waiting list. Tryout dates will be announced at a later date and those registered will be notified by email or phone. The tryout dates will also be posted on the league website. Rookie and T-ball Divisions: Teams are selected by player agent and board. Please indicate on this form any special requests or issues so that we can do our best to accommodate prior to selection of teams. Children are placed in divisions based on age and skill level. Tryouts are conducted to determine team placement for all divisions except Rookie and T-ball. For development and/or safety purposes, children may move up to the next division or remain at a lower division at the written request of a parent and approval from the League Board of Directors and the Player Agent. EWING LITTLE LEAGUE S CONCESSION STAND POLICY It will be the Team Parent s responsibility to make sure their team has a representative available for each game. This includes rescheduled games and playoffs. EACH Parent/Guardian will be responsible to work concession stand a minimum of 2 games per player during regular season play. Playoffs and Championship games also require parents of those players to complete another concession stand duty during their team s games. If your child should continue to play on an All-Star Team, additional concession stand responsibilities are required along with a monetary uniform and tournament fee. Minimum age for working in the concession stand is 16 years of age. NO GAME WILL START UNLESS ONE REPRESENTATIVE FROM EACH TEAM IS IN THE CONCESSION STAND TO WORK PLEASE NOTE NEW THIS YEAR: ALL families will be required to submit a 100 work bond. The team managers will collect a 100 bond (a check dated 6/15/2013 written in the amount of 100). The check will be held by the league treasurer. A log will be maintained by the concession stand manager. Once you have completed your required concession stand duty, your check will be returned to you uncashed. If, at the end of the season you have not completed your duty, your check will be deposited into the League s general fund account.
