OLR Spring Fete Sunday 13 th September 2015 Our Spring Fete is almost here - Only 10 Days to go Helpers Please On the day of the Fete we will require help from 5:30am in the morning with the setting up of stalls etc. We ask if there are any Dad s or Mum s that can help at that time it will be most appreciate. There will be a helper s roster outside the Year 4 classrooms next week so that you can indicate times you are available to assist the stalls on the day. If you do not come to the school but would like to help, please send a note into the school office with a time that suits. Advertising We would appreciate any assistance with advertising for our school Fete. Other than the standard advertising in local newspapers, radio stations, television and websites we are asking for your support by Any businesses able to place a poster in their shop window. We have both A4 and A3 posters available in the office. Coming home today are flyers for a letter box drop in your street, more are available in the office if your able to hand them out. Accompanying this Newsletter is a fete sign to colour in and display in your car window. Basket and Plaster Painting Stalls We are having a wrapping day this Saturday 5 th September from 9am in the Hall for the Basket and Plaster Painting. If you are available to come and help out it will be greatly appreciated, no matter how long. We are still looking for any goods that we could use for our Basket Stall including baskets and platters. Craft Stall For anyone who loves Craft, we are looking for people to assist with making some craft products for the craft stall. This will be running in conjunction with the wrapping in the hall this Saturday 5 th September from 9am. Any assistance is greatly appreciate even if it s an hour or two, as they say many hands makes light work.

White Elephant, Toys and Book Stalls As the Fete is less than 2 weeks away there are no more truck pick-ups. If there are any more donations for the White Elephant, Toys and Book Stall you can bring them directly into the hall from Tuesday 8 th until Friday 11 th September, between 2:30 and 3:30pm. It is appreciate if they are clean and in good condition. Sorry no electrical goods will be accepted. Slushy Stall As it has only just been introduced, we are looking for someone to coordinate the slushy machine on the day of the fete. ELECTRICIAN We need an electrician to check the setup of the fete s electrical components. It needs to be tagged/ticketed by a qualified electrician, are there any parents than can assist with this Raffle Tickets Thank you, to all of the wonderful families that have sold and returned their raffle tickets. There are raffle ticket booklets still available in the office if you are able to sell more. All sold and unsold tickets are due back this Friday 4 th September. The raffle will be drawn on the day of the Fete We still need assistance with Performances we would love to encourage any OLR children to perform at our fete eg Dance Groups (I have already spoken to Dance Power and Kimnastics) karate exhibition etc. Obtaining Marquees for the weekend of the fete. We are also looking for a coolroom to use on the weekend of the fete. Plastic shopping bags, recycling for our stalls. Rides A great way to save money is to pre-order wrist bands before the day of the fete for 4 hours of unlimited fun with 5 different rides. You can choose to ride on Fun Factory, Clown N Round, Surfs Up, Windjammer and Worm. You can send the money into the office or purchase the wrist bands directly from outside the Year 4 classroom between 2:30 and 3:30pm every afternoon from Monday 7 th to Friday 11 th September. Pre-ordered wrist bands will be $30 for 1 st child, $27 for 2 nd Child and $25 for 3 rd or more children. The unlimited Wrist bands will be available on the day for $35 each.

Dear Parents/Caregivers Fete Rides We are pre-selling wrist bands for 5 exciting rides that are going to be at our Fete this year. They are $30.00 each pre-paid or will be $35.00 on the day. Family discounts for siblings are as follows $30.00 1 st child, $27.00 2 nd child and $25.00 for 3 rd or more children. Wrist bands can be collected at the rides stall after 8.30am on the morning of the fete by presenting your receipt. Rides are unlimited using wrist bands for 4 hours between the times of 10:00am till 2:00pm. Any rides before or after these times will cost $1.00 per coupon eg Fun Factory 6 coupons (2 walks), Surf s Up 7 coupons, Windjammer, Worm and Clown N Round 5 coupons. You can always buy in bulk on the day and save, 30 coupons for $25.00, 20% saving. All wristbands and coupons are available to purchase from the ride ticket stall. Any adult wishing to accompany their children must also pay for the ride. REFUND POLICY due to wet weather and cancellation of the wrist band:- A full refund for cancellation of pre-sold wrist bands if rides are cancelled at the start of the Fete. Cancellation up to 11:00am there is a 75% refund, Cancellation from up to 12:00pm a 50% refund, There is NO REFUND after 12:00pm. To pre-order your wrist bands please complete the form below and enclose cash or cheque made out to OLR Fete and return in an envelope clearly marked Fete Rides. Alternatively there will be a table set up from 2.30 to 3.30pm every afternoon from Monday the 7 th to Friday 11 th September during pick up time.
