2017-2018 Girls Travel Volleyball Player Participation 1. Physical required prior to the 1 st game 2. Consent and Release of Liability Certificate required prior to 1 st game 3. 12 Players per team, not all students trying out for the team will be selected. Participants will be selected based on the following criteria: a. Skill Level i. Passing ii. Receiving iii. Setting iv. Hitting v. Serving vi. Understanding of Game Strategies & Rules b. The ACES Eagles teams participating in the Independent Athletic League are competitive teams where equal playing time is not guaranteed for participants c. No roster changes will take place after first practice of season d. Eligibility i. Maintain a 2.0 GPA in current class load and also must have had a cumulative 2.0 GPA during last semester completed per FHSAA Rules ii. Display good citizenship in school and outside of school iii. Physical required prior to 1 st game iv. Consent and Release of Liability Certificate required prior to 1 st game v. Students not in school, unless for a school related activity, are not eligible for practices or games that day vi. **All league rules apply to participants of ACES** vii. Students must be dressed and eligible for at least one half of all regular season games in order to be eligible for playoffs and to receive a Participant Letter/Pin Award viii. Participation Fee of $40 must be paid before 1 st game ix. Volleyball uniforms and bags are property of ACES and must be returned at the end of the season. Lost or damaged uniforms or bags must be replaced at the expense of the participant. x. Knee pads must be purchased independently. Students must have knee pads in order to participate in games. xi. Unexcused absences (practices) 1. First offense Participant will miss ½ of next game 2. Second offense Participant Suspended one full game

3. Third offense Removed from Team I have read the rules and regulations necessary to be a member of the ACES Girls Travel Volleyball Team and understand that I must abide by them to remain a member of the team. Emergency Contact: Travel Volleyball Travel Volleyball tryouts will take place on Thursday, August 24 and Friday August 25 from either 7:00-8:15 AM or 3:30 PM-4:30 PM in the Recreation Center. This form must be turned in prior to the first tryout on August 24 th. Signing this form gives permission for your child to participate in the skills ratings, practices, and games.
