Format Friday: Registration & Practice Saturday: 3 Motos & Finals for Sprockets and Cruisers Sunday: 3 Motos and Finals for 20 Classes Quarter and Semi finals as required Where there are 8 or less competitors in a Class, a fourth moto will be run in place of finals. Invitational finals will not be run. Awards Awards to all Sprockets Age 20 and Age Cruiser: Medallions 1-3 All Age Class entrants will receive a commemorative plate. A/AA classes to share Prize pool totalling $3,200 Prize pool share will be as per Current Australian Regional Applications. Registration, Scrutineering, Practice All riders must register and produce their current BMXA licence Registration : Friday 27 th November 12.00 noon to 6.00 pm Saturday 28 th November 9:00 am to 12.00 noon Motos will be drawn after close of Registration. Scrutineering : Random scrutineering will be conducted throughout the event. Practice: Friday 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. (Open graded gate practice) Saturday Sprockets & Cruisers 12.30 pm to 1.45 pm (see Final Instructions for groups) Sunday 20 8.00 am to 9.15 am (see Final Instructions for groups) Full Regulation race gear must be worn and supplied race plate and numbers displayed. Conditions of Entry 1. All riders must hold a current Sprocket or Open BMXA licence. 2. All riders will be provided with a number plate and numbers for this event. Bikes not displaying the supplied number plate will not be permitted on the track. It is a condition of entry that this plate be used for the entire race meeting and other than numbers or stickers supplied by the organisers, no other numbers or stickers may be attached to the plate. 3. Four (4) riders to constitute a class except in sprocket classes where any number will be deemed a class. 4. If insufficient entries are received to form a Class at closing date, riders will be allocated to the most appropriate Class. 5. Determination of age is year of competition minus year of birth. BMXA Sprocket rules and 14+ rules apply 6. Riders must enter their natural age class. 7. Race number: All riders MUST nominate their regular State/Club allocated race number. Entrants with a 1-8 Plate from the 2009 Worlds, 2009 Nationals, 2008 Victorian or their home State's most recent State Titles may nominate that number, (for example 1W, 3A, 8V, 5SA..) 8. No refunds, unless: it is found after the close of entries that a rider s nominated Class is not available; or a rider is injured or becomes ill prior to the event and produces a medical certificate, in which case an administration fee will be deducted. 9. It is the riders responsibility: to check if an entry has been received. Entry lists will be progressively updated on the BMXV web site www.bmxv.com.au. to ensure they register, check moto sheets, attend staging on time and ride in their correct moto. 10. Riders who fail to register will not be included in moto draw. 11. Invitational finals will not be run in any classes..
Scrutineering Guidelines 1. All riders may have their bikes and race gear checked at any time during the meeting. 2. Any faults found will be noted, a failure sticker may be placed on the number plate and the rider will be sent away to have the faults rectified. 3. Riders whose bike/race gear does not pass scrutineering will be required to re-present their bike/race gear for reinspection prior to being permitted to practice or race on the track. 4. Failure to rectify faults will exclude the rider from the event. 5. The most common items found at fault in the past include: Missing handle bar end plugs Loose chain Ineffective brakes Dangerous projections (cable ends, long axles etc) Torn or loose handgrips Torn gloves Damaged helmet Incorrect fitting helmet Broken or loose spokes Too wide handlebars (max 735mm including grips and plugs) Loose headset bearings Loose cranks Final Instructions Final instructions for practice groups and times, race format, presentation format etc will be posted to all riders after the close of entries. Redline Teams Trophy Competition The Redline Teams Trophy competition entry forms and details will be available on BMXV s website.
