The maximum size of the invited delegation is as follows: Men Women Joint Head of Delegation (HD) 1 1 1 Team Manager (TM) 1 1 2 Coach 3 3 6 Gymnasts 6 4 10 Doctor 1 1 1 Physiotherapist 1 1 2 Judges 2 2 4 Total 15 13 26 Out of competition gymnasts will not be accepted Age Limit: 16 years (born in 1993 or before) Provisional, Definitive and Nominative Registrations must be completed by entering the composition of the delegation on line as follows:http://fig-gymnastics.com Provisional registration 15 th December 2008 Definitive registration: 26 th January 2009 Nominative registration 20th February 2009 Entries will only be accepted from FIG Member Federations. Late entries will be considered as invalid and will be refused. ENTRY FEES ACCREDITATION PLANNED COMPETITION FORMAT No entry fees will be requested All officials and delegation members will need an accreditation to enter the training and competition halls. The accreditation office will be located in the Lausitz Arena and will be opened from Thursday, 19 th till Sunday, 22 nd. The World Cup Competitions and Series consist of Qualifications and Apparatus Finals. Qualifications: FIG Competition III rules will be applied. Participation is limited to 2 gymnasts per country and each apparatus. In case of a tie at the 8 th place, the tie breaking rules for Olympic Games will apply (see FIG Technical Regulations). Finals: FIG Competition III rules for World Championships will be applied. Participation is limited to 2 gymnasts per country and each apparatus, The top eight gymnasts per apparatus from the qualifications qualify for the Finals. If the organizing member federation has not qualified with minimum 1 man and 1 woman, it may nominate maximum 1 man and 1 woman. Maximum participation in the finals is therefore 8+1 gymnasts on one apparatus for men and on one apparatus for women, and 8 gymnasts per apparatus on all other apparatus. 2

Such Wild Card Gymnasts must have participated at the respective apparatus in the qualification. Wild Card Gymnasts will receive medals and prize money, but will not receive World Cup Points. The guarantee includes the first aid as well as an ambulation in a nearby hospital. Please verify immediately with your travel agent or the German Embassy or Consulate in your country if a visa is required for your travel to. The Organizing Committee will be happy to assist each Delegation member with an official invitation letter, provided that the request is made before 26 th January. The request must include the full name, date of birth, gender, function, passport number, passport expiry date, and the arrival and departure dates of the Delegation Member. The Host Federation, the Organising Committee and the FIG will not be held responsible for any liabilities in case of accidents, illness, repatriation and the like. 3

The FIG Technical Regulations (Section 1, article 12.10) foresee that all participating Federations are responsible for making their own arrangements to have the necessary valid insurance coverage against illness, accidents and for repatriation for all the members of their Delegation. The OC will verify the insurance upon arrival of the delegation members (e.g. cover note or photocopy of the valid policy). Delegation members with insufficient coverage must inform the OC in advance. The OC will subsequently offer insurance at the Federations own s charge as follows: EUR 1,-- per person/day (minimum for 5 days). INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORTATION LOCAL TRANSPORTATION ACCOMMODATION The members of the invited participating federations must pay for their international transportation. We will arrange a shuttle service between the Lindner hotel and competition venue. There will be no shuttle service between the Radisson SAS hotel and the competition venue. Participants who book the Radisson SAS Hotel or the youth hostel have to organize their lunch and diner on their own. The prices charged for all the hotel rooms will not exceed the usual hotel rates. The Hotel rooms will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. The invited participating federations must pay for their Accommodation costs. 100% of the Accommodation costs must be paid by 20 th February 2009. No refund is possible in case of later arrival or earlier departure. Earlier arrival and later departure is possible. Please contact in this case the organising committee (Dieter Kirkamm). The Organizing Federation will pay accommodation for the top three gymnasts per apparatus listed in the FIG World Cup Series Ranking List from the official arrival day to the official departure day. For additional days, these costs are to be borne by the respective National Federations. 4

MEALS Lindner Congress Hotel Includes full board Radisson SAS Hotel Meals are available at the restaurants of the hotel or at the cafes and fast food outlets close by. FINAL BANQUET FIG TECHNICAL DELEGATE AND EC MEMBER JUDGES AND JURIES All members of the delegation are invited to the final banquet. The FIG Technical Delegate and EC member (if applicable) will be designated by the FIG. The FIG Technical Delegate will serve as President of the Superior Jury. The Apparatus Jury (or Juries) will be composed as follows: Cat. B: 2 D judges, min. 4 E judges, plus 1 Supervisor. For MAG and WAG tournaments, the participating member federations must send minimum one qualified judge for MAG if they participate with male gymnasts and one qualified WAG judges if they participate with female gymnasts The number of Apparatus Juries (judges panels) will be decided by the organizing member federation depending on the number of participating competitors and judges. The Apparatus Juries are set up by a draw, directed by the FIG Technical Delegate, from the judges present at the event. The organizing member federation is responsible that there are enough FIG brevetted judges present with the appropriate and valid category of brevet for their function. For requirements see the Specific Judges Rules. PRIZE MONEY The organising member federation must pay the following minimum Prize Money (amounts in Swiss Francs CHF): Per Apparatus: Category B: CHF2 500.- The Prize Money, free of any deductible taxes, will be distributed on 22 nd March in the Lindner Congress Hotel as follows: Ranking Prize Money (CHF) 1 750 2 600 3 400 4 250 5 200 6 150 7 100 8 50 The Prize Money will be paid in EURO. No Prize Money and medals will be given, if there are less than 4 participating federation per apparatus or category. 5

WORLD CUP SERIES RANKING POINTS - ASSIGNMENT OF WORLD CUP POINTS FOR THE WORLD CUP SERIES RANKING LIST In principle, the official results and the updated FIG World Cup Series Ranking List will be published on the FIG web site within 48 hours after the competition. Separate World Cup Series Ranking Lists are established for every apparatus beginning with the first World Cup event of the year and ending with the last World Cup event of the year as follows: Men Floor Pommel Horse Rings Vault Parallel Bars High Bar Women Vault Uneven Bars Balance Beam Floor The World Cup Points are assigned to the competitors by name. Rank Category B 1 30 2 24 3 18 4 16 5 14 6 13 7 12 8 10 9 8 10 7 11 6 12 5 13 4 14 3 15 2 16 1 In case that less than four federations participate per apparatus or per category, no World Cup Points will be given. WINNER OF THE ANNUAL WORD CUP The winner of the annual World Cup per apparatus is the gymnast with the highest number of points of the World Cup Series Ranking List after the last event of the year as follows: - If 8 World Cup Competitions take place per year, the best 4 are counted - If 7 World Cup Competitions take place per year, the best 4 are counted - If 6 World Cup Competitions take place per year, the best 4 are counted - If 5 World Cup Competitions take place per year, the best 4 are counted - If 4 or 3 World Cup Competitions take place per year all points are counted. A special award ceremony will be held at the last World Cup Competition of the year (Cat. A) in which the World Cup winner will receive the World Cup. In case of a tie in the World Cup Series Ranking List after the last competition of the year, the tie will not be broken.
