Juliana and Larissa tied compatriots Adriana Behar/Shelda Bede for second in women s SWATCH FIVB World Tour gold medals with 31, including one in 2004, six in 2005, seven in 2006, five in 2007, two in 2008, eight in 2009 and two in 2010. With eight gold medals in 2009, Juliana and Larissa have set the record for SWATCH FIVB World Tour titles in a singleseason. Larissa and Juliana are four-time SWATCH FIVB World Tour championship (2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009). Juliana and Larissa posted silver, bronze and silver medal finishes at the 2005, 2007 and 2009 SWATCH FIVB World Championships, respectively. 2007). Larissa ($943,635) and Juliana ($931,625) rank third and fourth in FIVB career earnings, respectively. Juliana played in two FIVB events with Jackie Silva in 2003, including a ninth-place finish at the SWATCH FIVB World Championships in Rio de Janeiro. Larissa has played with four other partners in seven FIVB events, including four tournaments with Ana Richa (2003, including a 17th at the world championships in Rio de Janeiro), and one each with Leninha Aguiar (2002, 17th), Ana Paula Connelly (2008 Olympics, fifth) and Vivian Cunha (2008, first). Juliana won the 2001 SWATCH FIVB Junior World Championships for players under the age of 21 in Italy with Taiana Lima. The two teamed to place fifth in the 2003 junior world championships in France. Juliana was named the SWATCH FIVB World Tour most outstanding player in 2009. Juliana was named the SWATCH FIVB World Tour best offenisve player in 2006, and top blocker in 2009.. Larissa placed fifth in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games with Ana Paula Connelly as Juliana withdrew two days before the start of the competition due to a right knee injury. She had surgery in the weeks to follow. Larissa was named the SWATCH FIVB World Tour most outstanding player in 2006. Larissa was named the SWATCH FIVB World Tour best hitter in 2008, top setter in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, and best defender in 2009 Larissa was a bronze medal winner at the 2003 PanAmerican Games in the Dominican Republic with Ana Richa. On the Brazilian Tour this season for six events, Juliana and Larissa have a 27-1 match mark with five firsts and a fifth. For the first four SWATCH stops in 2010, Xue and Zhang placed seventh, fifth, fifth and ninth with the Grand Slam presented by SEAT being the first semi-final appearance this year. Xue and Zhang captured the bronze medal at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games by defeating Talita Antunes and Renata Ribeiro in the third-place match. Xue and Zhang won four SWATCH FIVB World Tour gold medals, including two in 2006 at Shanghai and Thailand, and two in 2008 at Seoul and Moscow. Xue and Zhang rank seventh on the SWATCH FIVB World Tour (US$622,900) Xue and Zhang captured the 2006 Asian Games Beach Volleyball gold medal by defeating Eiko Koizumi and Shinako Tanaka of Japan 19-21, 21-11 and 15-13 for the title in Qatar. Zhang ranks 21st in career FIVB earnings ($375,900) and Xue is listed 25th ($344,100) At 17 in 2006, Xue became the youngest player to win an international Beach Volleyball event when she teamed with Xi Zhang to defeat compatriots Jie Wang and Jia Tian for the Shanghai gold medal. Xue was the 2006 SWATCH FIVB World Tour rookie of the year. Xue made her SWATCH FIVB World Tour debut in 2005 as she played in two events with Whenhui You. Zhang was the 2006 SWATCH FIVB World Tour most outstanding player with Misty May-Treanor of the United States.
