Class 116 Gerry Weldon Memorial Maritime Bred Open to horses or ponies whose sire and dam at the time of conception stood in either NS, NB, PE or NFLD. English tack only. Must include a copy of Maritime Bred Certification or letter from the breeder with entry. Please include name of sire and dam (breed of horse if known) on entry form. Horses are to walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring. Upon completion of the under saddle portion of the class, the horse is stripped of tack and judged for conformation and best type. Judged on Performance 40% and Conformation 60%. Open to horses that have competed in and completed in at least one hunter O/F class at this competition at 2 9 ' or higher. The class combines a Hunter Classic with a Handy Hunter class in a one round format. Course consists of at least 12 fences. Each horse/rider combination will receive a numerical score based on 3 elements (out of a possible 120 points): Overall hunter form ( score out of possible 100 points) ; Rideability & Handiness (score out a possible 10 points) ; and High Performance (score out of a possible 10 points). Obstacles can include post-and-rail fences, stone walls, white-board fences or gates, fences with both brush and timber, hedges, brush, logs or natural foliage. Course walk. EC RATED JUMPER DIVISIONS A horse / rider combination is permitted unlimited upward movement, but downward movement is restricted to only one level. These movements are based on the level of the first class which they competed (Art. G603.3) ATTIRE: Full riding attire required in all classes in the Jumper Division.
