"B" Rider - A rider who is 12, 13, or 14 yrs on January 1st of current year "C" Rider - A rider who is under 12 years old on January 1st of current year. Stirrup irons must not be affixed to the rider s foot or boot in any manner. Only silver-coloured stirrups are permitted in equitation or medal classes. Use of black or coloured stirrups will incur elimination. In addition, at least three of the following requirements may be incorporated into the course: Trot fence; Add a stride in a line: Hand gallop to a jump; Roll back or Broken Line. The top 4 competitors may be further tested on the flat. Horse Equitation Medal Class: Hunter Equitation Not Rated For EC Awards Awards: Gold, Silver & Bronze Medals; Ribbons to 6 th Place Class 104 Fence height: 3 (0.90M). Riders competing in the Horse Medal Equitation are not eligible to compete in the Pony Equitation Medal. Open to junior and senior riders on horses - no ponies permitted. Riders competing at 1.10m or higher are not eligible to compete in this class. To be shown over a course of no less than 8 fences. Must include a copy of Maritime Bred Certification or letter from the breeder with entry. Please include name of sire and dam (breed of horse if known) on entry form. Horses are to walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring. Upon completion of the under saddle portion of the class, the horse is stripped of tack and judged for conformation and best type. Judged on Performance 40% and Conformation 60%. Certification of registration MUST be presented with entry. Please send a photocopy with entry and present originals to show secretary for review. Line Class only horses/ponies to be judged for conformation and best of type. English tack only. Judged on Conformation 100%. Conformation not considered. Hunter under saddle classes to be shown at a walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring. Horses may be required to gallop one way of the ring. Pre Green and Green hunters are not required to gallop. Light contact with the horse s mouth is permissible. Entries may be refused an award unless they return to the ring to jog for soundness in a complete bridle. All Hunter Division Champions will be awarded coolers. Open to horses that have competed in and completed in at least one hunter O/F class at this competition at 2 9 ' or higher. The class combines a Hunter Classic with a Handy Hunter class in a one round format. Course consists of at least 12 fences. Each horse/rider combination will receive a numerical score based on 3 elements (out of a possible 120 points): Overall hunter form ( score out of possible 100 points) ; Rideability & Handiness (score out a possible 10 points) ; and High Performance (score out of a possible 10 points). Obstacles can include post-and-rail fences, stone walls, white-board fences or gates, fences with both brush and timber, hedges, brush, logs or natural foliage. Course walk. EC RATED JUMPER DIVISIONS A horse / rider combination is permitted unlimited upward movement, but downward movement is restricted to only one level. These movements are based on the level of the first class which they competed (Art. G603.3) ATTIRE: Full riding attire required in all classes in the Jumper Division. Prizes G504 All Jumper Division Champions will be awarded coolers. PONY JUMPER DIVISION Entry Fee: $20.
