Laser-discipline inside hall C o m p e t i t i o n R u l e s The Pentathlon competition consists of Riding, Fencing, Swimming and Laser-Run, the Tetrathlon competition of Fencing, Swimming and Laser-Run. The competitions will be carried out according to current UIPM Competition Rules and UIPM Masters Rules 2017, especially under consideration of paragraphs 1.3, 1.4, 1.5. S p e c i f i c R u l e s f o r R e l a y s Riding: each athlete has to ride one course (max. 350 m) with 8 obstacles incl. 1 double combination, then change in changing area. Penalty points according to UIPM Competition Rules Riding of both competitors are added and deducted from total 300. Fencing: No.1 from team X against no.1 from team Y. No.2 from team X against No.2 from team Y. For team: combined count of victories is rated according to Masters Rules Fencing Table 2.2.2. Swimming: each athlete swims 50m, then change. For team 100 m /1:18, 00 Min = 250 points; 0,5 Sec = +/- 1 points. Laser-Run: each athlete runs 2 x 800 m (including 2 shootings), then change. For team 3.200 m / 15.30,0 Min. = 250 points; 01 Sec = +/- 1 points. Bonus points: For example Pentathlon: Competitor No.1 age 55/ 94 points +competitor No.2 age 43/ 10 points = 104 points. Divided by 2 = total 52 points as team result. - 4 -
P a r t i c i p a t i o n Masters women and men can start from the age of 30 years. Age groups for Individual Competitions are arranged in 10 years divisions according to UIPM Masters Rules. Individual age groups are 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+ for both genders. In case of minimum participation will be reached, there will be an age group 80+ validation as well. Relays participation: Competitors from age groups 60+ upwards can participate in relay competitions 30-59 years by limit of their handicap points to age 59. Relay competitions will only take place, if a minimum of 3 teams are registered per relay. Teams: For team classification UIPM Competition Rules apply. The team with highest score of best 3 athletes wins. Competitors of age 60+ can only participate in team classification, when individually starting in lower age group with handicap limit to age 59. E q u i p m e n t C o n t r o l There will be a room assigned at the H+ Hotel, where fencing equipment and pistols have to be checked and signed before the start of the competition. Without appropriate control signs start is not possible. Fencing equipment must be according to UIPM Rules 2017. Additional fencing equipment checks will take place on the pistes before the start of the first bout. - 7 -
J u r y o f A p p e a l For Masters World Championships UIPM Competition Rule 1.16.6 iii) applies for constitution of Jury of Appeal. A TD (Technical Director) or NTO (National Technical Observer) will be appointed through UIPM Headquarters. The Jury of Appeal consists of five Jury members. The UIPM TD/NTO holds the chair. One representative of the LOC, who must hold an International Judge s licence. Further of 2 Discipline Judges holding international judge s licences and a team representative, that has to be appointed at the technical meeting. A t h l e t e s L i c e n c e s Only Athletes in possession of a valid UIPM Athletes License are allowed to participate in UIPM sanctioned events. Registration is not possible without a License Number. Licenses can be acquired on short term through your National Federation contacting the UIPM Competitions department. Pentathletes without riding ability listed in the database and without a letter from their NF confirming their ability to ride are not allowed to compete in the pentathlon competition. I n s u r a n c e According to UIPM Rules all members of the attending delegations have to insure themselves in case of accidental injury or illness. The organizer will not accept any responsibility financial or otherwise for any loss, injury or illness of any delegation member or individual participant. V i s a Visiting nations should confirm visa and vaccination requirements for entry into Germany prior to travelling to this event.
