Loyd Jr. All Sports Center Level 1. (See locker room and field access diagram page 16) Team Benches: Visiting teams will occupy the east bench area opposite the press box. The Mustangs will be on the west bench area of Gerald J. Ford Stadium. Press Box Coaching Booth: The visiting team coaching booth is located on the south end of the press box Level 5, room 508. (See press box diagram page 15) 7

Friday Practice Time: All attempts to use the game field will be made; however, weather conditions and situations may dictate the need for other arrangements. If the game field is not available, walk-throughs will be conducted at the Pettus Practice Fields. Conference USA guidelines will be followed. To schedule a walk through, please call Ricky Dobbs at (214) 768-2313. Visiting Team Parking: Visiting teams using a standard-sized rental truck for equipment will park along the northeast end of the Paul B. Loyd, Jr. All Sports Center. Visiting team buses will be allowed to unload team members at the Paul B. Loyd Jr. All Sports Center and then will be directed by SMU Campus Police to park in a designated area. (See Gerald J. Ford Stadium Diagram page 14) Team Escorts: Team escorts will be arranged as needed. Game day escorts for the visiting team will be coordinated through the SMU police department. North Texas Dignitary will provide police escorts to the stadium on game day. Please contact Al Brooks to make your teams escort arrangements to the stadium on game day at 1- (888) 217-0306. SMU Police will meet team buses at the entrance to the SMU campus and escort those buses to the stadium. Escorts will not exceed normal speed limits or violate traffic signals. Sufficient time in game day traffic must be accounted for. The contact for the SMU escorts will be Major Rick Shafer who can be reached at (214) 768-1580. ATHLETIC TRAINING INFORMATION All athletic training facilities and information will be handled by Mike Morton (214) 768-1635. TICKET INFORMATION The Ticket Office will handle all game day ticket requests. The SMU Ticket Office is located in the northwest corner of the Gerald J. Ford Stadium. The ticket office will open at 10:00 a.m. on game days. General Will Call will be available at the main ticket office. Visiting team Player Will Call will be located at gate #8. (See Gerald J. The Media Relations office will also coordinate credentials for visiting coaches who will be sitting in the press box coaching booth. LIGHTNING & SEVERE WEATHER MANAGEMENT PLAN Gerald J. Ford Stadium If the likely hood of lightning or severe weather existing near Ford Stadium the following procedures will take place. In the pre-game meeting between the Game Manager and Head Referee, the parameters for a warning notification will be coordinated. A member of the SMU Athletic Facilities & Operations staff will monitor a computerize weather system from the 5 th level of the pressbox in Ford Stadium. This individual will notify a designated on-field representative of the warning, who will in-turn notify the game official on the field. Once the determination has been made by the referee to suspend play, both teams, team personnel and staff, and others will evacuate the field. A member of the SMU Facilities & Operations staff will escort the referee and both head coaches to room 316A ASC. The Game Manger will escort both participating Athletic Directors to room 316A ASC. The referee, head coaches, athletic directors, and Game Manager will review and monitor the serve weather from room 316A ASC and determine the appropriate course of action. Members of the working media will be kept updated and briefed by the SMU Assistant Athletic Director for Broadcasting and Communication. As well, the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Affairs will update and brief the SMU staff as needed of any information related to the serve weather and suspension of play. Spectators seated in the stadium will be notified via the public address system of the warning and the need to seek shelter. Once the determination has been to resume play, spectators will be notified by the public address system that is safe to return to their seats. 11

TEAM & GAME OFFICIALS EVACUATION INFORMATION Supplement to the Ford Stadium & Southern Methodist University Emergency Management Plan The Team & Game Officials Evacuation Information is a supplement to both the Ford Stadium Emergency Management Plan and the Southern Methodist University Emergency Management Plan (EMP). The EMP is under the executive control of the University President and under the operational control of the Chief of Police of the SMU Police Department. When an emergency situation arises on the SMU campus, the Chief will contact the University President or designee and advise him/her of the situation. Upon direction of the President or designee, the Chief will activate the EMP. He/she will notify and retain control of the Emergency Operations Group (EOG). The EOG is a group of selected individuals who are tasked to coordinate the university s response, implement procedures, and monitor the progress of the situation. The EOG will meet in the Lettermen s Room located at the northeast corner of Moody Coliseum. Steve Orsini as Director of Athletics by position is a member of the EOG. In the event the EMP is activated and Ford Stadium is evacuated the following procedures are set forth: SMU Police will notify the game officials of the situation and the need to evacuate. The game officials will in turn notify both team head coaches. Both teams and the game officials will follow the SMU police officer along the evacuation route. The evacuation route will be through the southwest maintenance tunnel to the sidewalk along Mockingbird. Proceed west to Bishop Boulevard and turn north. Take Bishop Boulevard to Binkley Boulevard and turn right. Take Binkley Boulevard east to Airline Road. SMU players will proceed to Dedman Center to wait for further directions from the EOG. Players are asked to please remove their shoes prior to entering the facility. The visiting team will proceed to Moody Coliseum to wait for further directions from the EOG. Players are asked to please remove their shoes prior to entering the facility. The game officials will proceed to the Men s Basketball locker room located along the south side of the concourse in Moody Coliseum to wait for further directions from the EOG. The following individuals are requested to convene in the Director of Athletic suite in Moody Coliseum to await further direction from the EOG.
