FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What spa sizes does the COVANA fit? The COVANA is designed to cover most spas that fall within the following measurements, not taking into account any indentations and flatness of the tub lip. It is highly recommended that if the tub dimensions are in question or when the dimensions are close to the min/max to have accurate measurements made. The COVANA is slightly rectangular; 5 inches longer on the long side. no smaller than 71 x 76 no larger than 95 x 100 The minimum tub height for the COVANA to seal properly is 34 inches high (86 cm). Tubs lower than 34 inches (86 cm) will be required to be elevated. Does the COVANA seal on the tub? The COVANA replaces the conventional cover and seals over spas tightly to eliminate any water or chemical evaporation. The tight seal locks in heat and locks out cold to reduce costs related to heating the spa by up to 30%. The COVANA has the highest R Value in the industry with an R-21 insulation value. What are the electrical requirements for the COVANA? The COVANA requires: Voltage: 110 Volt 15 AMP GFCI Breaker: 15A single pole GFCI breaker (purchased separately) Max COVANA current draw: 12 Amps Power cord not included How long does installation take? Installation will take about one hour and requires two people to carry the cover to the spa. Can the COVANA be opened and closed manually? Yes, it can. Please see "Manual cover opening/closing procedure" in the USER MANUAL, as in the case of a power outage. Will the COVANA ever collapse? No. Because of the positive up drive design and the fact our lift system is compressed 250 lbs per jack, the legs of the COVANA are designed to always want to go up. The motor is there to force them down, and, therefore there is no chance of the COVANA coming down unexpectedly. Can unauthorized access to the spa be eliminated with the COVANA lowered? Yes, as it is impossible to lift the COVANA off the spa once it is fully down and the key is removed. The COVANA locks securely in place.
