The Diamond Dust WWW.RIVIERALITTLELEAGUE.ORG SPRING BALL - APRIL 21st, 2012 Riviera Little League Riviera Day at South On Wednesday, April 18th the players of Riviera Little League were invited to watch the South High Varsity baseball team take on the Cardinal s from Lawndale. After the game, RLL players could participate in a players clinic with the varsity players. The game was exciting watching many former Riviera players put their best efforts forward. South High came out on top with a 4-0 win. After the end of the game over 50 players from T-Ball to Majors, decked out in their uniforms and Riviera gear, gathered at home plate to meet the team from South and head coach Grady Sain. The players were broken up into groups by division and worked in various stations with the varsity players. It was a great sight watching a senior at South working with a T-Ball player on scooping up the ball and all the kids running around the bases. A big group photo was taken at the end of the clinic. Everyone had a great time and is looking forward to it again next year. Thanks to South for hosting this fun day for RLL!
