ELIGIBILITY: Open to all competitors. NRA membership is not required but is encouraged ENTRY FEE: Package entry is $25 per 2700 match. Individual entry is $10 per 900 match. Unclassified and temporarily classified or Junior competitors may shoot a.22 in all matches for only $10.00! ENTRIES: Limited to range capacity (40 competitors maximum). Entries close at the preparation period for the last match. SCORING: All strings of fire will be scored after TEN shots. Competitors will score, repair and replace targets. Competitors may use an overlay to determine shot value. Plug type gauges may be used by match officials only. CHALLENGE: NRA Pistol Rules Section 16. Fee is $1 per challenge, returnable if upheld. GENERAL INFORMATION: SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT. There will be strict adherence to range safety and commands at all times. One hour lunch break between center fire and 45 matches. Bring a lunch or go to one of the Waxhaw restaurants approximately 5 miles away. RV electrical and water hookups are available. Men s and women s bathrooms located near the RV hookups. Award points will be given to the first place competitor in each class having two (2) or more competitors and second place award will be given in any class with six (6) or more competitors. Less than two (2) competitors in a class will be included in the next higher classification.
*** MATCH FEATURES ***. Tournament results will be printed and posted on the CRPC web site after the match. Shooters will receive the match results via an email attachment. Shooters who have competed at Charlotte within the last couple of seasons don t have to fill out their SR-1 (entry) cards! Just let us know if your address or classification has changed. Once you shoot with us, we ll keep your info on file for future matches. Practice ball matches will be held after the 2700 for those shooters working toward the distinguished badge. This will be an unofficial NMC, so you can shoot any gun, but it is intended for iron sighted pistols and ball practice. Pictures will be taken, especially of the good targets, and posted to the CR&PC web site where you can view and download them if you wish. Pictures can be viewed at www.cr-pc.org/bullseye.htm Nearby Hotels/Accommodations: The direction from which you are travelling will determine which hotels are most convenient for you. In general, hotels in Matthews, NC or Pineville, NC will be convenient to the range. If travelling from SC, Rock Hill may be convenient for you. If so, listed on the next page is one hotel for Rock Hill. There are several hotels at/near the exit described; this is simply one we have had competitors use in the past. We aren't promoting or even recommending this hotel, but providing for competitors' convenience only. Numerous other motels/hotels are located on Independence Blvd in Matthews, on Hwy 51in Pineville, and at the Arrowroot Dr Exit on I-77. Comfort Inn at I-77 exit 82B and 875 Riverview Road, Rock Hill, SC. Phone: (803)329-2171 Directions to Hotel: Take Exit 82B off of I-77 and almost immediately turn left at McDonalds onto Riverview Rd. The Comfort Inn is the first on the right. Directions to Range from Hotel: Come back out to McDonalds and take a right. Stay on this road (US 21N) until you see SC 160. Turn right onto 160
and stay with its meandering until you come to a dead end at US 521. Turn right, south on 521 and go about 5 miles to where the divided highway's median disappears near a Tire Shop. Turn left there onto Jim Wilson Rd. Stay straight on Jim Wilson until you see the NC State line. Turn left into the CR & PC Range there. DIRECTIONS: The range location is approximately 25 miles south of downtown Charlotte near the town of Waxhaw, NC. From the North: From downtown Charlotte (Intersection of I-85 and I-77). Take I-77 South (8 miles) and exit to I-485 East towards Pineville (go 6 miles). Exit south on Johnston Rd/Hwy 521, then take Hwy 521 South for 12 miles (into SC and past Indian Land School) to Jim Wilson Rd. Turn Left on to Jim Wilson Rd (go 2.7 miles to the NC/SC border). The range entrance is located on the left at the state line. From the South: Take I-77 North and exit east on Hwy 9 or 200 towards Lancaster, SC. Take Hwy 521 north (15 miles) to Jim Wilson Rd., turn Right on to Jim Wilson Rd (go 2.7 miles to the NC/SC border). The range entrance is located on the left at the state line. From the East: Take Hwy 74 to Monroe and turn left on to Hwy 75 and go 13 miles to Waxhaw. One block past downtown Waxhaw, turn right on to Waxhaw/Marvin Rd. (go 3 miles) and turn left on to Kensington Dr. (go 1 mile) to the state line. The range entrance is located on the right at the state line.
