Your club and Tennis Victoria Growing the game together

Message from the CEO It s been an exciting period of growth for tennis in Victoria. The game changing new affiliation model introduced in 2014/15 saw 98 previously unaffiliated clubs join the Victorian tennis family which will always be strongest together. Unique registered participants also increased by 45% to a record high of over 165,000; with many clubs finding innovative ways to connect new and existing players to our sport. These numbers represent over 40% of the national figures. This didn t happen by chance it is the result of people working together toward a common goal. We heartily acknowledge and thank all clubs, centres, associations, coaches and schools for their efforts in this regard. Our focus for the coming year is to work even closer with your club to continue to get more people playing tennis. We now have an expanded support team of 12 regional Participation Leaders (up from 8) - the new title for Community Tennis Officers. This updated title and focus aligns with the national vision for Tennis to have one million registered players. To make it easier to run your club and connect more players to Tennis there are upgrades planned for the free software systems that we provide: My Tennis and Competition Planner. There s also the new Book a Court software that is being piloted. These systems will be integrated, easy to use and provide a great user experience. They are designed to put the customer at the centre of everything we do as a sport. This brochure is your guide to how your club and Tennis Victoria can work together for 2015/16. Best wishes for the year ahead and thank you again for the contribution you make to the great game of tennis. Kind regards, Matthew Kennedy Chief Executive Officer
