SAILING PERFORMANCE Average Cruising speed at 15 knots = 5-6 knots Motoring at 2500rpm 5 knots Top Speed 8.8 knots CONSTRUCTION Certified HIN: AU-TWA008016BQ1 The hull is hand-laid fiberglass to 13 oz. Above the water line increasing to 17 oz. below, plus a 24 oz. woven roving on the inside. All layers are lapped along the centerline giving a double thickness for the full length of the boat. The final thickness is more than any other boat of the comparable size available in Australia. The mould is in one piece so there are no joints anywhere in the hull. The deck-house cockpit and aft cabin are also hand laid using end-grain Balsa sandwich construction for stiffness and heat insulation. The bulkheads, floor bearers and deck are all installed while the hull is still in the mould to prevent any distortion.
